All in all the geth infiltrator DOUBLED my efficiency, tho i have to play a lot more carefull then what i am used from my no fitness fem infiltrator
But i agree, not everyone is suited for a geth, especially as every error means death

**EDIT: Ok, I will say this, my geth engineer IS pretty weak when it comes to melee, I rarely ever kill a normal mob with only one power melee attack. However, my geth infiltrator is quite different, as he can crush stuff in melee. It's all in how you spec and how you play the spec.

What's the problem here, exactly? I die the least when I play a Geth. Bad players are just as terrible with any other class/race combination. There are a million threads like these, maybe if you people combined all of your "Dear _____ class" threads to **** you'd realize that a lot of people are unskilled and/or reckless regardless of what they play. But a lot of them are damned good. Find the ones that are and latch on so that the rest of us are spared from these derpy threads.

There's another thread on here just today that states that hunter mode is useless. I'm telling you there's an entire ocean of people who don't know how to play and SHOULD go back to bronze and practice with geth before moving up.
Maybe you should go back to bronze? You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Bad players are gonna suck no matter what class they use, unless it's a salarian engineer on fb white.

When the class came out I did go to bronze and practice with it. Thanks for taking the time to make my point for me, idiot.

Pretty much. Although I find it amusing that still comes as a surprise to some people.Brownfinger wrote...
Using cover, check. Having a turret down at all times to delay, torch, and restore, check.

Also, I just read this in salarian voice.

Oh dear. Health and shields are just two names for the same damn thing so it only matters how much they have combined. Geth arent more squishy then other classes, even with hunter mode on.
Hunter mode drops 400 off your shields. But that doesn't mean much when you've got 3 fungineer turrets healing you.

First vanguards, then infiltrators and now you're trying to make the poor geth hated
And yes, put some points into fitness and you have as much shields as other classes in HM
E: this assuming HM only effects base shields, as somebody stated

Oh deeaarrrr.. They ARE two separate things because hardly anyone notices where the shield is at till it's gone, and when it's gone on a geth pub player, they are gone, get it?
Whatever, that'll teach me to post anything further on these disgusting forums with the lowest form of human life imgaginable.

I thought this was true too. Then I played with a salarian engineer on fbw who either hadn't specced decoy or refused to use it. We still won, but man did he suck.

If someone spec fitness for health and shield bonuses(which the engineer should do at least) they arent squishy even with hunter mode on.

Ok, thats two classes with two talents specced toward damage reduction, in both cases. Now try standing out in the open with the other 28 classes on Gold and tell me what happens. Fitness only matters for classes that operate at close range or for surviving damage over time effects. Its always the first skill people chop points out of for a reason. Dodging and cover are the only defense of consequence on gold for the classes witout DR talents.
That was 3, actually. And if you want to count each character as an individual class, how many sentinels would that include? 5? (Both humans, the Batarian, Krogan and Turian) Then there is the KV who also gets high damage reduction. Krogan soldier gets damage reduction talents. Drell gets 40% DR as well, but he's so flimsy I won't even include him. AJ is 8. If you're playing gold, and using a class like an Asari Adept, or Salarian Engineer to stand out in the open (Or any class to stand out in the open for that matter) you shouldn't be playing gold. Damage reduction definitely makes a difference when I can pull aggro from the Phantoms that would otherwise destroy the glass cannon engineers and adepts on my team.
Fitness is usually the difference between life and death when you get flanked by that Assault trooper that no one saw, the grenade that was randomly tossed your way, or if that Geth Hunter decloaks next to you. Situational awareness is always going to be more beneficial than anything else on gold, but for you to say that one shot from anything is always going to take your shield off, and the next will kill you is utterly moronic.

If you are getting flanked, then someone messed up their assignment. And the Hunter Vision actually gives you more situational awareness, so I am not sure what you are arguing there. Seeing a phantom comming from a mile away is a lot more useful than being able to eat two more bullets from a trash mob, because Captain Jackass the Vanguard left his lane unguarded. Hell for that matter, the turret actually buys you more time, since even an offensively specced one will top off your shields and draw the initial attacks, giving you an early warning, plus you know that turret is going to hold its position, unlike an undisciplined team mate.
That said, I do run with Fitness 4 on my engineer because I mostly end up in PUGs and having the margine for error is nice, but if I ever decide to repect, it will be more ranks in Huntermode at the expense of Fitness.
