It is late for me here and my brain si working slower when needing  sleep...  But still since  Thane's  been  stabbed, My first  thought was : time to  find  Tim and  make a deal with him to save Thane. 
So I had this picture to in head: Shepard  grab stabbed 
unconscient Thane and fly away  saying no one where she goes. She 
contact The illusive  man and ask him to  save Thane like he did to
her . Of course illusive man  would try to  win  something  for it like  asking to go some  dangerous place to grab an artefact or   give him intel about something classified. Or exange Jaavik  for him...


Mine would do it except  saying where is the crucible or  if it  exist etc...(well  it would depend if she more renegade than parangon ;op)

What  would your Shepard do?

My Shepard would delay the fight to stop the Reapers, and take a hit to her war assets, and risk her crew to save Thane. If it became a choice between Thane and another crew member, she would choose Thane, although she wouldn't consciously want to have someone she knows die for his sake.

Thane is her reason for fighting. Without him, a lot of the strength and determination to keep fighting goes out of her.

Or the other crew member could sacrifice its life to save Thane: here they would still get a bitter sweet thing...

My Shepard let Thane die in the collector base. Better dying in a heroic holding action than being stabbed in the back.

Far enough to get him a blood transfusion if there we time, etc. But not going to move worlds. The man had already made peace (at least in my game), played his part, and gone out a hero. Not going to pull him into turmoil again.

On a more realistic note, a lot of war assets. Because I don't think Thane would appreciate Shepard sacrificing Earth because of him.

Pretty far, and I didn't even romance him.

So, just wanted to say that even folks who aren't Thanemancers were willing to pitch in and help him out if it had been at all possible. I found Thane's death to be dramatically satisfying, but not to the extent that I'd want to rob Thane fans of the chance to save him if that had been possible.

I think there should have been some kind of tradeoff decision, like the krogan/salarian genophage situation, that could have resulted in Thane being cured.

I agree and the mission has already been, partially, written.
Kasumi and a new character involved in a mission to save Khaje while Thane has to fight Cerberus? I don't see the logic behind it besides the obvious "Assassin vs Assassin" dynamic.

So, I would have placed Thane in that mission and forced players to choose between saving Kahje or saving the hanar colony where their scientists are researching the cure to Kepler's Syndrome.
Well, something a bit more nuanced than this but you get the idea.

How far would Cameron go to save Thane? Well pretty far actually. The only thing never on the table is Kolyat. If that were a choice well, then it would be time to tell Thane I loved him, how much he meant to me and that I'd see him across the sea. As that would probably be the only real thing Thane would never be forgiving of and I'd probably have to fight him myself if I tried.

As for if Thane would appreciate some of those sacrifices, I guess it depends on context. If I chose to save Kahje instead of Earth I could logically explain to him why I did it in a non selfish way. Earth is already being defended, in order to truly sacrifice it, I'd have to pull all troops and fighting civilians off it and send them to Kahje (not possible, so it's not like I'm leaving it out there defenseless). I don't see Kahje having the same kind of military power and support Earth has so the logical choice for my Shep would be to go help the defenseless.

Would I cut a deal with TIM to save Thane? Yep, I cut a deal with him to save human colonies and stop the collectors, why not just one more time. Had he waved a way to extend or cure Thane in my face while deciding to keep or destroy the collector base in 2, well I would have done it then. I'm sure Thane would have hated it but I'm also sure he would be forgiving if he realized ultimately he was helping tons of other drell too and thus securing a way to keep his race from dying off on Kahje.

Would I sacrifice a squadmate? All you need to do is point out which one and they are gone. Doesn't matter which one, I wouldn't even pause. Kind of like Virmire, I didn't give that any thought either.

Would I sacrifice Shep to save Thane? Yes I would do that too. I'm sure he'd tell her not too and I'm pretty sure he'd try to follow to prevent it. But as she looked up into his eyes one last time, she'd wipe away his tears, tell him she loved him, now he has more time to make things truly right with Kolyat and she'll be waiting for him.

Thane and Garrus were my bros in ME2, so yes, I'd definitely do my damn hardest to save Thane.

I was hitting my vanguard charge button during THAT scene. Uh... Probably for the best I didn't get away with it. Most of the things vanguards do seem like anything near the target suffers, too.

Without context, I can't really say, but it would depend on the Shepard. IT'D SURE BE NICE IF THERE WAS A CHOICE, HUH?

My shepard would sacrifice every squadmate on the team (besides Garrus and Vega) to save Thane 's life and have him as a full squadie. Didn't romance him, but he was a cool character.

If there was a choice between saving X squadmate and Thane. I'd choose Thane.

If there was a mission for a cure that if taken, would negatively impact your War Assets, I'd do the mission.

If it was a choice of savig Thane vs.saving a colony etc. I'd choose Thane again.

I'd do all of this despite my Thanemancing Shepard being 100% Paragon in a heartbeat.
