I own an unabridged dictionary.

I am also familiar with Google.

you should use it then

than you'd know skinny =/= anorexia

I concur.
Besides, femShep's body type is what you call an "average build".
No clear muscle definition, nor body fat to speak of.

That isn't anorexia, that is just being skinny. Big difference.

Nope. I think they are so thin that they are anorexic.

Yep. There is a big difference between being anorexic and simply being too skinny, that is a fact. You would think nobody would have to explain the difference; it is like saying a person is fat so they must be bulimic. Shepard is merely too skinny.

You're wrong. You are totally and completely wrong in every way imaginable.

Except in the ways that involve the facts. If you think I am wrong, then you really need to pick up a dictionary. Being too skinny does not mean being anorexic, while being anorexic means you are too skinny. Just like being educated does not mean you are intelligent, but being intelligent means you have been educated. So yes, you are wrong.

Shepard looks to be around 5'6", maybe 5'8". By her size, I would say she is between 110 lbs and 130 lbs. That is not anorexic, that is still a healthy weight. Also, there is lean muscle; lean muscle gives the person the look of being skinny while still being tone in actuality. It doesn't make you look heavier, but you are; almost all of my muscle is lean muscle. I look like I am 140, but I am actually closer to 210.

That simply means she doesn't work out her arms; I remember for a while my right arm was bigger than my left due to working my right one out harder and more often. But yeah, I honestly don't like her arms either lol.

Sorry, by the way. I'm just very focused on semantics and using the correct words (not politically correct lol). I frustrate the hell out of myself when I am writing D&D campaigns at times when I can't think of just the right word lol.

Are you focused on semantics, or making a point?

By the bye, been playing AD&D since the early 80's.

Bye!

They just recycled that animation from DA2, which just goes to show how little effort they actually put into her.

Are you being serious? I never played DA. If you could direct me to a YouTube clip, I would be very interested in seeing that.

Why?

To prove your point. If you are going to make a claim, you have to back it up with evidence.

and since you don't want to post a pic, I will. Straight from google images
Image IPB

Femshep may be skinny, but she is definitaly not anorexic
edit: sorry for bad picture quality. It was the best i could find that had them fully clothed.

edit- Nice pic, lol

Seriously though, I feel like any serious ME fan has enjoyed both Meer and Hale's work. Ergo, no need to explain the freakishly skinny and anorexic arms.

You say you've been playing since the 80's and yet you childishly get an attitude for literally no reason. You would think someone at least ten years older than myself would be more mature. I already made my point: that you do not know what anorexia is if you're thinking Shepard is anorexic.

Wait. Since you enjoyed femshep's voice, you don't have to explain why you believe she is anorexic? Maybe I'm not getting your post, but that doesn't make any sense.

I have a petite pump instructor who has skinny arms, and she can lift some serious weight! She has small bones, and flat, wiry muscles. That's how I explain away Femshep's stick arms. That, and she has cybernetic implants (Shep, not my instructor, although sometimes I wonder...)

you're not alone.

a similar thread might ask why male sheppard is so shiney and vegan looking.  you know, because his skin looks more oily than a real person by way of reflectiveness of the shaders.  Is the skin of a vegan any more oily than a semi-carnivore? i've got no idea.  It's a backdoor invitation to create controversy though, without any real relation to the question at hand - why is his skin so shiney? it throws me off my game!

deffinitely why I was wondering about a reference earlier, I was just curious.  I have played with a female character briefly, I can't say I noticed anything weird.  Maybe I had armour on the whole time though.  Maybe the OP is making somthing out of nothing.  Without any reference all it can be is bickering.

I agree. FemShep is WAY TOO THIN on ME3. I was disappointed when I saw, it looks too weird.
A comparison here of femshep in ME2 and ME3. ME2 = thin / ME3= anorexic/too skinny/whatever

her arms look thicker than mine. I'm 6 feet tall and have nearly a 2500 calorie/day diet (if not more). not anorexic. just sayin.

they do look very thin for an action/warrior/soldier/heroic figure maybe. who's to say though.
(I grew up watching arnold, so compared to him.. yeah)

Lol not trolling. Although that does sound a bit wrong Image IPB My left arm is weak due to an injury (won't get into), to the point it couldn't life much (but I wonder if it was more due to my lack of any physical activity at the time). So I worked both out, the left with 15lb weights while using 25lbs with my right. Not a smart idea since it looks completely idiotic having one arm being obviously more defined than the other. I didn't really think it through XD
