I'm more concern about her boobs. Seriously, with all that million-dollar cybernetic implants and Cerberus still cannot afford some cheap breast implants for FemShep?
And they could have installed some Reaper-lasers to them!

She is supposed to be a woman, not a pre-teen girl.Which is what she looked like in previous mass effect games.m_k wrote...
Her boobs are even too big. She's supposed to be muscular. Vanguards and soldiers would make sense if they were a bit bulky. It's only realistic. Hell, I've got more muscle than her and I don't even work out that much.

She looked best in ME2. In ME1 her arms were incredibly sticky.
EDIT- I still think the lack of muscles is the biggest issue, I don't care for the boobs.

I dunno , in mass effect three the women look like women to me in me 1 and 2, they looked like the 9th graders I went to school with. Hell even the 7th graders in middle school were more filled out than her in ME 1 and 2m_k wrote...

Anorexic or not, I'm pretty sure we can all agree she's way too skinny.
Way too skinny to judo-throw Vega and kick his ass!
No offense intended, but this can only be said by someone with no experience with either Judo, Aikido, or any other martial art designed to use peoples superior size and strength against them.

True, good fighters can be skinny. But not atrophic.

Admitted being a soldier, challenged physically all the time, she shouldn't be fat, but yeah, she's very thin.

I don't really know what Are the standards in America, but here in Italy she would be seen as a completely normal woman, who just goes jogging a couple of times every week.
As for her arms... Hell, my girlfriend has even smaller arms, and she is not anorexic at all (43kg per 1.65) and believe me... She is very very strong, you would never tell it by seeing her, but she is.
And it's not like she goes to the gym or anything... She is just like that.
Sure, it seems a bit strange How Shepard can fire a shotgun with almost no recoil, but still... We know she's been cybernetically implanted in ME2 (And maybe even before, when joining the army) so, why bother?

Yet male shepard was based off an underwear model....yeah....so technically, they are models. And most female soldiers I know have BANGING bodies, just like femshep.m_k wrote...

His face. I don't know about his body. In any case, he certainly doesn't look too skinny for his role. Femshep does.

Did you grow up on an ARMY base? Did you see the female infantry soldiers, they were not fat, and they were not super muscular, they were skinny and toned, just like female shep. The male soldiers were almost Vegas size, so shep is technically too small! Yeah there were the occasional amazonian looking women, but most were toned and skinny. Hell, my ex is in the airforce, and can fire 50 cal sniper rifles and she is mad skinny / toned. Not running around like femshep, but then again, she isnt cybernetically re-designed.m_k wrote...

She -is- cybernetically enhanced, remember all the upgrades you get in ME 2? The heavy muscle weave and the heavy bone weave and all that goodstuff?Avalla'ch wrote...
She can still kick-ass. But I had to give her a really big free pass during her Vega scene,

@buddah- No, but I don't need that, I can look at my mirror. I train for 2-3 hours a day, and even being skinny as a **** my arms are much bigger than hers. I understand that it was merely a problem of resources (a whole different body model needed), but when playing a vanguard this is ridiculous.

Bioware seem to like big ol' belts across their characters midriff, maybe to gisdugise some kidn of difficulty rendering beliveable cores. ME2 Jacob's another example.
