No time for a fix has been announced yet that I could find, but they do know about the issue. I just created my account and haven't been able to pic a portrait or change my status, etc. It seems to be an all around IE issue, not just 8, as I use 7.

Might I suggest an alternative, use FireFox in the mean time, it does not suffer from the all mighty Micro$oft bungholio issues.
