This is all speculation (Mac would be proud) but, if in the Extended Cut the Control and Synthesis choice actually turn out to be much easier on the galaxy, and Shepard still dies, I have a question to all Talimancers and Garrus lovers:

Would you start a new playthrough at Mass Effect 2, ignore starting a romance with these characters, just so you can know that the two of them are together after the end of Mass Effect 3? I'd honestly do it, just so I don't have to leave Tali alone. 

What does everyone think?

My main Shep is with Tali but my secondary Shep is with Miranda so I still get to see it.

I don't know if I could not romance Tali, she's been my canon LI since ME2 came out. They just did too good of job making it feel like a geniune romance.  Garrus best go calibrate something else in the bushes.

I wanted to play a Liara run anyway.  (sad I have no interest in Ash or Kaiden now)  It would be cool.  Id be happy with my Shep finally flashbacking to either Tali or Garrus if you are in a relationship since thats missing and you flash to Liara anyway.

First, I think the Garrus/Tali pairing is terribly contrived and dislike it.
Second, I'm not ever going to pick anything other than the Destroy/Shepard lives ending.

This too, it irritates me that they matched the other two most popular LI's up, because it just makes the Liara romance that much more "canon." 

I hate Liara. Not because of the character herself, but because what the writers turned her into.

Tali is my canon LI.

Garrus can have Liara if he wants... though he should be careful, I've heard she's a rapist. Apperently.

I didn't say I'd enjoy it, but I'd rather not leave Tali crying alone if Shepard kicks the bucket

Hey Garrus, you're my bro and all but, if I die, and I find out you **** Tali. I'm going to haunt you and make it impossible for you to do calibrations. Well it's a good thing I'm not going to die and am instead going to pick the destroy ending. Hope that's cool with you Garrus.

i hope that in the extended cut, tali takes off her mask for Garrus right before they embrace and you get to see her fully rendered face...that would really stick it to the talimancers
