In DAII the Nexus Golem says "The Stone lives beneath Orlais" and the same thing (or something very similar) is engraved on Tug's axe. Image IPB

I was trying to not be too explicit regarding the DA2 reference, but yeah - the full dialogue from the golem is cryptic. I wouldn't mind knowing more about that.

Ack. Sorry about spoiling your attempted unspoiler. Image IPB Will remove.

I'd like to know what happened to Morrigan and what happened to Hawke.

Three things spring to mind, curiously enough it's relating to three characters: What happened to Morrigan (and her baby, though since not everybody picked that choice I realize we might never find out), what exactly is Flemeth and what is she really up to? And what the heck is really going on with Sandal. There are more of course but these three really have me interested.

The Dragon Age universe has many mysteries.

What is the real origins of the Blight? What is Flemeth? What was up with that Primeval Thaig and its lyrium idol? If they exist, what happened to the Elven gods? Were the Elves ever really immortal? Where do those Eluvian lead to? How come Dwarves can't cast magic? How come there were ogres long before the Qunari arrived? What happened at Kal Shurak?

The developers can't answer all the major questions in DA III and there are some they've said they'll never answer.

Keeping this in mind, what would you like to see answered or addressed in DA III?

I find myself wanting answers to these very questions,Maria. The Blight / Flemeth = OG? / Eluvian thing bugs me more, than anything. Are there "inbetween spaces" ?And where the hell are the Warden and the Champion? I detest such cliffhangers.
Enchantment? Has Shale managed to become a dwarf again? Are there any more pigeons left in Thedas?
Where are all the horses? What is going on underneath Thedas?

To be honest,I would love to see as many mysteries explained as possible. As for the Maker, the answer to that can be left to interpretation / deducted from answers to other related questions,I suppose.
Where did the meteorite come from (Starfang) ?:alien:

Do not need answers to the "really big issues" in DA3, that can be done in DA4 or the one after that.Image IPB

But I really would like to know about the little stuff that was unanswered in DA2
Here's my list:

- the band of three (what/who the heck are they and what were they looking for?)

- what were the wardens doing in Kirkwall and surroundings?

- what were the concequences of Tharohne's actions concerning the templars? Hasn't been adressed to yet.

- what happened to Starkhaven (and related to that Sebastian)?

First what's up with Flemeth, and Morrigan. They have let the Flemeth mystery dangling for two games now. If they will be dancing around it in the next game it will only become very annoying. I don't necessarily need a detailed explanation from A to Z, but I expect at the very least a big chunk of new knowledge.

Second the great disappearing act they pulled on but the Warden and Hawke. I didn't like the way it was introduced at the end of DA2. It felt cheap. So I hope they turn out to have had a good reason for that.

What the very important thing was the Wardens had to do during the Qunari attack. I suspect this one will get addressed, since it seemed to be an acute issue. Although at least three years have passed since that moment, so perhaps it's old news already.

What's with the strange lyrium idol and its magical powers that drive people mad.

I think it would be okay as long as its not based on a choice in previous games or DLC, for I don`t want BioWare nullify my choice and something else becomes the canon. If they make multiple responses based on those choices I think it would feel hollow and not enough. Look at what happened with the bugged character imports from Dragon Age: Origins to Dragon Age 2, with people upset that characters survived that they killed during Origins.

The other problem is they could make the same mistakes that Mass Effect 3 did by trying to do too much and the final result would have been much better by including less.

Edit: Clarity.

From DAO
What does Morrigan know of Flemeth's plans?
What are the consequences thus far of the Warden's decision about Morrigan at Redcliffe?
Where did Morrigan go after Witch Hunt?

From DA2
What are Leliana and Cassandra going to try next?
What were the Grey Wardens up to in Act 2?

Bonus
More Dwarven history and perhaps info on their lack of a connection to the Fade.

I second all these... and I'm curious how the other countries  (such as Antiva, Nevarra, Anderfels) will approach the upcoming Ferelden-Orlais war. One would think they would either try to stop it or embrace it. But we haven't heard a thing!

I want a complete, or a bigger, map of Thedas. When can we have it?

I like some mystery to remain. That being said I'd like them to address at some point DA3 or DA4 or whatever, mysteries that have been put forward in-game as plot devices. For examply everything having to do with Morrigan from DAO and the lyrium idol from DA2. Flemmeth's true nature as well given how they have chosen to weave her character into both games building up a lot of intrigue.

As for the black city, I have very mixed feelings here. On one hand the mystery drives me crazy wanting information, you can see the thing while walking around the fade. On the other hand, mystery in some form or another always adds to the world and that is one that is in the backdrop of the entire world. What is it? was it really golden? was its' invasion really the first blight? Were the old gods personable in a way that common dragons are not? There's a lot that could be explored there I'm just not sure that it should.  If that entire story is really explored it should probably be the very last game in the DA universe.

I don't want to know everything, but certain things I would love to find out more about. Flemeth being at the top of the list. I really hope we get a better understanding of what she is or at least more of her history and true origin. She is so fascinating.

Admittedly, my knowledge of DA lore isn't overly extensive, maybe these questions already have answers (my apologies if there are already answers), but things I want to know...
1. What's up with the Black City - One side said it was turned black when the Tevinter Magisters entered it - But Corephyus (sp?) if I correctly recall said it was already blackened when they entered it.
2. What is an Old God - Why were they imprisioned in crypts deep in the ground; where they once in league with the Maker and rebelled?
3. What is Flemeth and what is the purpose of Witches of the Wilds.
4. What is Morrigan's Plan/Purpose of the OGB
5. Sandal and his prophecy
6. If you didn't kill Flemeth in DAO and another part of her is taken to Sundermont... are there now 2 of her out there? lol

I probably have others that don't come to mind at the moment.

Heh, one nice thing about fantasy versus sci-fi, you can really make up about anything and chalk it up to "magic" to get that to work.  In sci-fi you need to try and come up with a good plausible answer.

This is why I love fantasy.
And that is why I wish Dragon Age got a bit more "magicky" where it is now trying to be overly realistic, and offer us plausible explanations where it is currently chalking things up to "magicks".B)

Was Loghain ever helped by Flemmeth or was it just his proximity to Maric? Because Maric definately was helped, and he definately did disappear.

Loghain disappeared in my world.  Unless you count knowing where his burial tomb is, as not disappearing.

Relevance of the champion? They keep giving generalizations about how important he is for some vague event to come. I'd prefer a codex entry though, I certainly do not want to continue the Hawke story after DA:2.
