So I'm around 1/4th through Awakenings on my Arcane Warrior tank on Nightmare, and I was just curious what the best suggested weapons and armor are?

What I have right now-v

Sentinal Armor Set
+8 constitution
+1.5 or +3 health regeneration in combat
+12 defense
+3% melee critical chance
+6 attack
+14 strength
Chance to avoid missile attacks
+25 physical resistance
Set: +0.5 armor
Set: -15% fatigue

Duncans Shield
+3 willpower
+6 defense
+1 stamina regeneration in combat

Spellweaver
+5 magic
+2 mana regeneration in combat
+10% spell resistance
+3 electricity damage

Now, I was thinking I might raise my Dex to 30 and use two swords instead of the shield to boost my melee damage by alot. Not sure what the best armor, shield, and sword are for me at this point..

Also, a related question... Does a boost to Stamina or Stamina Regeneration also count towards Mana for an Arcane Warrior? Although it doesn't specifically say so?

I'm fairly certain you cant dual wield swords/axes as an Arcane Warrior, that option is only available for Warrior/Rogue DW characters.

For sheilds, The Landsmeet shield and the Heartwood Shield are the best in the game. Go to Amaranthine and get the Legion of the Dead Heraldry from the dwarven merchant in the market. That adds 20 to all attributes.

For weapons, its always hard to argue with Vigilance, created by Wade with the Ancient Dragon Bone from the Black Marsh.

I'm not sure if the Stamina Boost/Regen equipment effects Mana. Never tested it myself, though some on here are sure to have.

I did find confirmation that +Stamina/+Stamina Regen = +Mana/+Mana Regen for AW.

You can't dual wield swords, though, which is what the OP was talking about. To use two full-sized weapons you need Dual Weapon Mastery which isn't available to mages.

Honestly, trying to pump up your DPS for an Arcane Warrior seems like a waste of time. Your attack rating is going to go down because you don't have the talents to mitigate dual wielding penalties. Not to mention, you're only doing white damage because you have no weapon specific talents to speak of. Anyways, good luck with it!

that is why you need to stick with daggers.
