As a statistician and a ME fan im looking forward to reading this. Just one question: what were your sampling method? That is, how did you conduct the random sampling?
This isn't random, because its a survey. There is a possible response bias here, the people responding to the survey are more than likely not representative of the general population, because the only people who would respond are those who obviously hate the ending and feel the need to state that.

Have you read the report? The author specifically states, both up front and later in the report, that it was not designed to gauge response as to who likes/dislikes the ending but rather to find out, within the group that DISLIKE the endings, what the main issues were. In the context of the Extended Cut, that makes the most sense - the Extended Cut didn't come about because of all the people who like the ending - it's there because of all the people who dislike it. It makes perfect sense to give Bioware as much data as to why they dislike it so they can best address those issues.iamzer0xx wrote...

If we're talking like/dislike of the ending, which we're not, there's a poll here that you should take a look at.

That small sample size just goes to show how much money bioware has lost from gamers, they have a chance of making half of that back if the EC repairs the damage but doubtful.
The best part is those were volunteers who took the survey what would happen if it turns out that was only 10 percent of fans who are dissatisfied, bioware I hope your paying attention. That number is the number you stand to lose with DA3 due to this failure of an ending.

(the #'s below are from a few weeks ago)
This survey targeted only the segment of the population that had problems with the ending of the game. A recent BSN poll, with over 71,591 responses already indicates that 92% of people were unhappy with the current ending, 5.9% wanted the Normandy stranded on Earth or near Shepard, and 2.1% were happy with the current ending.
Having such unambiguous results, showing a large percentage of the BSN community dissatisfied with the current ending, it seemed more useful to focus on discovering what about the ending makes people upset rather than to repeat the BSN poll. With the BSN poll results in mind, we set out to examine the 92% of the community who were dissatisfied with the ending, as it exists today.
