More dissapointing sequel? Dragon Age 2 or Mass Effect 3?

....It's gotta be ME3 for me. I've sank 700 hours into DA2, and really enjoy the game, even with it's flaws. ME3, I haven't felt like touching the singleplayer since launch. In most ways, I just think ME2 is the better game.

I liked both games but the only downfall is they were great games only if you did not play the previous titles

Megabug: for the sake of argument, if I concede that the ending was rushed, do you really feel the rest of the game was rushed? I thought it technically great (few bugs/glitches) and the story was both long and well-written (especially Tuchunka and Rannoch).

DA2 is by far the worse sequel.
(that being said, I will still get DA3 with the hope that BioWare will redeem themselves)

I thought ME3 was a good sequel, only the endings ruined the story and it can still be changed by adding new endings. DA2 was not a good sequel though, I understand the game was only the introduction to what is going to happen next and in fact when I finished the game I just felt like I had just finished Ostagar in DAO. I did not really like the idea of the mage/templar conflict and the fact there were no more different origins to the character either, hope the fix that in DA3.

ME3 was pretty good, it was just the ending which really sucked, Dragon Age 2, while still a bit enjoyable was by far one of the most disappointing things since my son. No, The Phantom Menace.

As in what I expected of a sequel to be? I´d have to say DA2 - because it was quite a different game, albeit set in the same universe. It still is not relating to DAO world for me. Still like the game, but as A game opposed to THE DAO sequel. Too different, too little that´s binding the two games.
ME3 was all very enjoyable. Endings, well, I´ve gotten over the endings (waiting for the EC and whatever closure it might bring), but it was not enough to make me actively dislike ME3. It still is the same place I´ve been for 3 games. Yes. I´d never thought I´d be cheering for a thresher

Incomparable. The quality of the majority of ME3 far surpassed DA2 (even though I liked DA2 as well), yet the ending is far worse.

With DAII I didn't even make it through the demo.
The things I saw made me physically sick. Uncomparable to ME3, which is quite disappointing, but not the degree of making me reach for the barf bag.

On a technical level the game was rushed (how the bugs and glitches got through Q&A is beyond me).
But aside from that you are right - there were some great set pieces. You mentioned 2 of them -- there were a few more, and there were a few non-mission related moments which brought a lump to my throat.
I do think they could have expanded in certain areas and there were times where it felt a bit odd when I was expecting something to happen which then didn't (all spoiler stuff).
As I said before the final hour or so didn't go down well with me.

Dragonage 2 by a landslide. I hated the ME3 ending, I was upset at the entirety of DA2.
Also I maintain that anybody who things the DA2 story was appealing has no idea what they're talking about. It was a mess all the way through
I'll tell you why I thought Hawke's story in DA2 was appealing. Hawke's story had him being accompanied by his 2 younger siblings, Carver and Bethany, as they fetch quests for the Arishok and Templars and find their way in Kirkwall. That reminded me of how my older brother treated his younger sister and I. I'm the youngest and it was us 3. I love stories that center around a family, I prefer it more than any story that's about saving the galaxy from a reapers (derp) or some Godchild (herp derp). I was on the verge of heartbreak when I almost sensed a conflict between Bethany and Carver as they go off to join the Circle and Carver becomes a Templar. I thought it was not only appealing (to me), it was also...relatable.
And Hawke's default face! Man, great way to design a hero who looks just like my older brother, with the scruffy beard, punky hair, and striking eyes. I thought default Hawke looked better than default maleShep.

Yeah, I think we're done here. The homophobia being the most significant problem, of course, but we also don't do versus threads.
