What I missed from Origins in DA2

Hi guys

In comparison with DAO and DA2. I've finished both and will share some fan feedback.

Both are great games, but here are things I liked about Origins that DA2 did not have:

[*]I miss the "dark mysteriousness" in Origins. All you know is your going to be a grey warden, then Duncan kills someone, for example. It foreshadows the feeling, the atmosphere of this time, and confuses you. That "dark unpredictability" you get through out the game. In DA2, I had a feeling of wearing an hawaiian shirt (not to just hate).

[*]The main character being silent, leaving more options for conversation. The beautiful, "old school" RPG chat interactions were fantastic in Origins. With lots of choices , it puts more of a personal touch, letting the player directly say what they will.  The wheel-chat is good for Mass Effect, but I don't think it is the best for this type of game. And, I missed the descriptive "broken vials" type choices from origins DA2 did not have, reminds me of good 'ol Dungeon and Dragons.

[*]-The travel. There's a lot of small map, back-and-forth jumping in Kirkwall in DA2 that I did not like. Having, "here's 50 spread out maps, and here's the 50 spread out side quests," identified the game as an engine, rather than an interconnected world. (I know, reality check)

[*]-DA 2 had too many side quests. Instead of side quests all over the map, with all of them contributing little to the main plot - I'd prefer a longer, interconnected story questline, similar in Origins with the treaties. The game being more centralized. All the sidequests of DA2 gave me a random perspective, with wanting a longer main story adventure. The sidequests seemed to only add gold (except for companion upgrades)

[*]-Better demon interactions. In Origins, the seductive, smart, hypnotizing demon chats capatalized their power, and had me on edge in suspense. In DA2, it's a bit predictable, the demons show up, then you fight. Demons were only for debate; only a consideration for the mages, and a stigma for the templars. The demons were just tools in DA2.

[*]-The music in Origins was amazing. I liked the eerie theme.

[*]-DA2's elements could be found in other games like God of war and skyrim. The originality did not stand out like it did in Origins.

[*]- Morrigan. I told her I loved her, she laughed and said, "love isn't real." (old characters)   (havn't played the expansions yet so FYI)[/list]-That's about all. The combat system in 2 is great. The graphics are too outlined like a cartoon.

Thanks everyone, I love BioWare games, and am looking forward to the next installment.
