DA:O Love Scenes

On reflection, I think its because the bodies are...generic. They don't belong to an individual person, so it makes it feel creepy. or something.
You could argue the same way for violence; namely, why do I like killing generic bodies but not watching my character have sex with a generic body? Well, I like killing creepy things like spiders and centipedes. But I don't like porking them.

Arrrrrrrrgh! Pirate Zevran reporting for duty. Prepare to be boarded!
XD that cracks me up every time.
I wonder though. Why do all the sex scenes take place at Morrigan's tent? Or should I say, he collection of tarps that are entirely open to the rest of the camp

It turns out Morrigan runs a... "guest house".

As a long time fetishist, I cannot desagree more on the part of the underwear but well, you´re right to some extent: medieval undergarments are not even close in coolnes to Agent Provocateur stuff.owl208 wrote...
I'm sorry....I just can't accept the love scenes in DA:O.
No noises. No comments. Just the music and whatever it is they are doing in their underware.
And please can someone sew Morrigan's eye's shut? It gives me the creeps.
And what's with the post critque's???
My eye's flutter like a butterflies?
You want to catch them and put them in a jar?
That's very creepy.....

I suppose the player and romanceable characters are just hopeless exhibitionists.

Moreover (and I'm no expert on bras, for sure) the idea of what seems to be a strapless underwired MEDIEVAL garmet starts to wreak havoc with basic suspension of disbelief. (Although ably providing for basic suspension of other things, I guess).
So - to sum up - Morrigan has to swap into clothing that doesn't exist, for what is an entirely otherwise lackluster love scene.
MUCH preferred Mass Effect's careful use of camera angles TBQH. Given that the game gets an R16 rating already in NZ, it's a pretty bad mix of coyness and romance.
To quote BOTY: "Soft porn. People who love porn HATE IT. People who hate porn HATE IT. It's no good for anyone!"

roman cable???
I'm into ancient siege machines and the leverage they provide.

Anyway, Alistair sex scene is my favourite. It fits his character... Though I could've imagined seeing him drooling when he climbs on top of you, haha.

I don't mind the sex scenes really. The only thing that kind of creeped me out was the bit where the female Warden gives Alistair this WEIRD look. I think I understand what they meant to tell with it... But it just looks... Too extreme.
I swear I've seen that look on at least a few old Disney animations. It instantly hit me when I saw the love scene.
Also, if you think it looks awkward on a female character, you should cheat your way to get a romance with him on a male character.

They had things like that in Roman times and in other cultures thousands of years before. Except for the underwired part. That's indeed too modern. But simple pieces of cloth to wrap around the chest existed.Kanner wrote...

The Romans called it strophium:

Eh, I stand corrected then. Does still appear to be providing, um, lift, than it otherwise should. =P
Also you still have to agree Morrigan is definitely not wearing any such thing under her 'robes'.

The bra isnt there for lift, it's to tie things down. You should here when she doesn't have the girls restrained. Its like two of those ugly wizard bonnets waving at the sky..

I definitely don't think the love scenes in the game deserve the "M" rating. I mean they get flustered looks on their faces, a corny song plays and they kind of roll around in their underwear. You spend all that time trying to get Alistair's approval to 90 or whatever, only to be rewarded with some spooning/cuddling.
I know! And is it just me, or his scene at least half as long as the others? Maybe it just seems that way because at least Zev et al make use of multiple positioning.
