10) I'd like for enemies to be smarter. You're a grunt solider, why are you rushing at my powered up team after seeing us massacre your entire group? I don't know about you but I'd be running away. Similarly, if I have a party member whos on the verge of collapse, you'd think the enemy would direct their attention to finishing them off? I mean, obviously for inexperienced players this could cause much arse ache, but it would also make you think twice about how you're playing in game. You know, having to think differently about facing different opponents, because in both games it's pretty much rush in all swords blazing. Perhaps the enemy mage would go after my group healer, or the archers will try stopping my rogue before they can get to close. Just, more aware enemies please. The fun of dealing with tricker opponents is the satifaction when you finally bring them down.

Just adding onto this point. If they implemented something like this, it'd reduce the need for enemies to jump out randomly and off of buildings. Instead of having surprise multiple waves of docile enemies, you'd see who you were facing in front of you and be able to prepare accordingly.

Has anyone had a crack at Snowblind's LOTR:War in the North? While nothing spectacular, I did enjoy the fight elements to the game. When you're playing at the dwarf you get a sense of the weight behind the two-handed axe you're lobbing at an orc's face. And the way the characters move around the battlefield was quite nice, they have a good maneuverability (rolling out of attacks, for example) about them instead of standing there and relaying on their stats to shrug of the damage. Similar to MA3 actually. It's something I'd love to see in the next DA installment.

I'd also really like a higher level of customization for my character. Not just their armor and facial features, their whole body. Height, weight, muscle, chest etc. I personally hate the body shapes in DA2, especially how everyone was more-or-less identical to each other.

I picked up the Dragon Dogma Demo, and I was amazed at the different body types.

I think it's something BioWare will naturally do, if not for variety, for asethic reasons.

My main wish would be for them not to go for an episodic story. The story in DA2 was good but the episodic nature of it caused it to stumble from time to time - it also made the final act feel short and rather weird. The mission based style of DA:O works much better for delivering a story I think.

Beyond that just do the story well, a complete absence of gaping holes in the lore and overly contrived plot devices will do nicely. If they focus on making the characters good and tell the story well then they will be onto a winner. I would be disappointed if we end up with something that places action ahead of story (I can buy plenty of games like that).

Disclaimer:   This is a wishlist for people who enjoyed both games. Do not think the worse thing in gaming is having
Felicia Day and Jessica Chobot have speaking roles in the game. (I still have no idea who Jessica Chobot is) Do not think that every bad thing that happens with Bioware is because EA is some cigar wielding villian poking Bioware employees with a electrical prod and screaming, "Profits! You must bring me profits!" This is also the wishlist for people that realilze a game cannot fulfill the holes in your life. It is just a tool to find relaxation or escape from the day to day life.   Disclaimer    I have been rping for thirty years. I divided this up into questions that I want answered, characters I want seen, and misc.

1)Questions that I want answered.

  a) Who was the old lady that Sandai saw at the end of his bed?
    B) How does Sandai keep kicking butt?
    c) Morrigan's baby, and how are the writers going to satisfy the different baby's dadies and people who died instead of performing the ultimate sacrifice.
    d) Who are the Friends of Red Jenny? (People with fetish for quest giving)
    e) Will you let people who did not buy Asunder know some of the details of what happenned in the First scene. I did not know the Seekers have rebelled against the chantry and the fate of Wynne.
f)Can you please recognize that some of us have Alistair executed. I know we never see his actually being executed, but can we atleast get some recognition of the act.
 2) Characters I want seen.

a)Queen Anorna or exiled Queen Arnona
    b)Charade
    c)Tallis
    d)Varric
    e)Loghain
    f)Morrigan
    g) Flemeth
h)A desire demon companion. If we can have Justice, Vengeance/Anders, ..we should have our desire demon companion.
i)Good cameos. I actually like the cameos in Mark of Assassin. Even the awkwards ones.
3)Misc

  a) I like the look of the elves. They looked like a different race instead of really skinny and short humans, but the texture of some of their skin did seem off. Like it was leathery or weird looking in certain spots around the eyes and nose on certain elves. Not all of them, but certain of them. I still like the fact they look less human and their own race.
   B) Can the game go back to mature scenes. I did not notice this until I read it on another thread, but I do not believe the graphic scenes have been toned down in your games.  I like to know that this is game that children should not be playing. I noticed the samething with Mass effect 2 to Mass Effect 3.
   c) Can we please be able to use the PS3 screenshot capabalities to post our protaganists on the forums.
d)Can we still have more politics, but can we be a major player in the game. Can we be one that is doing  the double crossing, and the manipulating.
  e) Can we be named Emperor or EmpressImage IPB? If we are putting the society back together, I would like something more than the Elder Scrolls armor and then you disappear into the chronicles of history
   f) Can we at least see a female Quanari?
g)This probably does not need to be said, but there has to be a summarization.  I think you can get a good wrap up, and still leave room for DLCs.  Again, just make us Emperor or Empress.Image IPB

Updated:
1)What decisions would like to see carry over into Dragon Age 3 and beyond.
2)Can we get an older female LI or would that be a turned off? Lol, not for me.
3)What would you like to do in a game that you have not done yet?

1. Flemeth is the old lady Sandal is seeing (she has a scary laugh, Flemeth's laugh)

What I'd like to see:
Politics to be more political (Politics is bound to play a large role in DA3)
More Qunari involvement, more insight into their society like in MOA and them involving themselves with the rest of Thedas in DA3 or in a later installment.
Morrigan's child to play some role
Morrigan to play a role
Keeping the Maker's existence still at bay (I mean make it like there is evidence to his existence and evidence to say otherwise.
Our new protaganist to be more active in certain scenes.
Characters who have been optionally killed to stay dead (no value in bringing back Ander's if he escapes death a second time)
The Warden to be refferenced in some way.
More complexed morals.

I back you 100% on your both of your paragraphs.

We strongly advise against a medieval COD.

Things I would Like to See in DA3:

1. A way for my Warden, Hawke, and the new PC to make it out alive (I know this may sound dumb, but after watching Shep get disintegrated, I have no desire to see any more of my characters die :crying: )

2. Race options, because I miss being a dwarf (Maybe even a Kossith option?)

3. Better character customization  (Tall, short, skinny, fat, long hair, etc).

4. The Ranger specialization for rogues needs to return (Cause summoning a Blight Wolf is awesome :D )

5. Warden, Hawke, and companion cameos (Probably going to happen anyway, but I just wanted to say it anyway)

6. More dialogue with companions. Relationships in DA2 were not as deep as they were in DAO because of the huge amount time covered in DA2, so I'd like see that depth return.

7. Seeing the consequences of our previous choices, such as what happened to the Architect and so on.

8. More locations to visit, cause traveling is nice :)

9.  ANSWERS!!!  Maker, do I want some answers  What the heck is Flemeth, what happened to Morrigan and the demon baby, what were those Grey Wardens up to in Act 2, and the list goes on and on... Thedas has so many mysteries that need to be answered!!!

Anyway, that is all, other than that I'd just like to thank the Dragon Age team for being awesome :)

I do think it is cool how the Dragon Age team does a better job interacting with their fans, and their distractors than other people.
Thank you for everyone that is posted to the thread. Everyone is being cool which is cool.

1) I'd like companions to wear armor that looks, well, armored.  The example of the new armor system makes me hopeful of this, as in the past looking practical has gotten cast aside for the sake of "lloking awesome"  Nothing against that, I just happen to think the two aren't mutually exclusive.

2) I'd like to see hornless qunari like Sten again.  I'd like to see the differences in appearance between ME1 kossith and ME2 explained.  And not just with Michael Dorn's voice saying "Those are klingons qunari and it is a long story"  I've heard that not having horns is a sign of being somehow special.  I'd like to hear more.

3) I'd like the mysterious past of Kirkwall revisited in earnest.  the stuff we only saw in codex entries expanded.  Kirkwall is at the heart of the templar/mage conflict so a little more background would be welcome

4) More exploration into the dangers of magic in general, not just blood magic.  Specifically, the logic behind the perceived need for the Circles and templars.

5) Primeval thaig, red lyrium, the Profane

6) More background about Dumat and more hints about the truth behind the Blackened City and the First Blight

7) Not necessarilly see them agian, but learn about how/why Hawke and teh Warden disappeared.

8) More exploration into "non magical" appplications of blood magic.  Such as Reavers and the Joining ritual.

You know the dangers of magic that do not include blood magic would be great

You know a lot of these suggestions, or requests, like what were the Wardens doing in Kirkwall, and more info about the origins of the blight, and where the Warden and Hawke disappeared to, are probably going to be answered unless they decide to do an epic fourth instalment, which I do not much mind. Keep it going forever I say. :)

This is pretty hard to sum up but hell..
1) Open endings closed/what happened to them etc : Morrigan and baby, Warden/Hawke+Bethany/Carter, Shale, Oghren, Sigrun, Velanna, Nathaniel Howe, Sten, Wynne, Flemeth. Alistair/Anore (whoever or both ruling), Loghain (if kept alive), Leliana and Zevran and some of the non companions like The Architect. Herren and Wade, Sandal+father and some others.. Some short popups just well won't do. And offcourse those from DA2 and maybe Witch hunt.

2) Visit old and mentioned places like: Lothering, Vigil's Keep, Ostagar, Redcfliffe, Urn of sacred ashes place, Denerim, Amaranthine, Orzammar, Deep roads and places that were mentioned in the series ?Kal shirol? and those places in Orlais and the DLC wardens keep.
3) More depth when it comes to companions, in DA:O you could talk whenever and ask whatever. In DA2 that was rather limited (not there really) Some quests, some items and that's it DA:O+DA2 mixed together would be great i guess.. and party camp with more 'action'. And i don't care about ESRB ratings i means if you type in 'Porn' on google ......

4) Combat in DA2 was more fluent/smooth compared to the weird 'walking' in DA:O when in combat but let's be honest tactics? are barely needed, so it could be more challenging. And please don't change it to ME1/2/3.

5) I liked being able to choose how to start in DA:O unique beginnings/story and endup at Ostagar and from there find your own way. DA2 felt claustrophobic and limited, the Legacy and Mark of the Assasin felt larger then Kirkwall. It doesn't have to be like Skyrim (would be awesome though) but a little more freedom would be awesome for DA3.

For more things i agree with below.

ReallyRue wrote...

1 - Origins/race choice. I like Hawke, but elven characters were always my first choice to play as in DAO. I'd really like them and dwarves to return as potential player characters. At  the very least, female dwarves should exist in the world. And some female kossith wouldn't go amiss either. I'm not averse to a human/elf/dwarf/kossith PC having the same voice.

2 - More mage robes like the Warden robes. I thought that was a good combination of robes (the flappy bits), and practical (the trousers, long leather gloves/boots). The dress robes are nice too, but variety is best. DA2 had some variety, but the Warden robes were just perfect.

3 - I like some of the animations from DA2 (mostly the mages', especially that their style looks appropriate when in close combat, instead of poking enemies with the stick). But the dual-wielding rogue needs to lose some of the OTT moves, like leaping into the air and pouncing on enemies. And warriors using two-handed weapons actually need to use two hands for them.

4 - More quests/locations like Legacy and Mark of the Assassin. I adore those quests. I love the length of them too. Long main quests, like in DAO are an excellent thing, and contribute to more of an 'epic adventure' feel. Also, visiting various locations, like in DAO, instead of permanently being rooted to one place.

5 - If the party camp is returning, make companions actually *do* something while in camp, instead of standing around. They could cook, test potions, talk to each other, tend their weapons/wounds, or whatever else. Same goes if DA2's separate character locations are returning.

6 - Friendship/rivalry. Much better than like/dislike.

7 - Romances either all bi, or straight/bi/gay. Not just straight and bi. Inclusiveness is better than fake realism. And for a change, a dark-haired romanceable male, and a fair-haired romanceable female.

8 - Personal involvement for the main character. The DAO PC usually had a connection to the thing that was relevant to them, like the City Elf in the Alienage quest, dwarf PCs in Orzammar's quest, Hawke with her siblings, or in all that remains.

9 - Morrigan and default femHawke's hair in the character customisation. No reason why they shouldn't be, and they are both attractive, practical styles.

10 - More of a role for Flemeth. Cameos are nice, but I'd like more idea of her plans, what she's doing and what affect it will have.

I do wonder though how they are going to paste it all together really. ~7 or so years pass from Lothering to the end of DA2, and i don't know how 'old' people get in the DA universe but having 50 year olds beating darkspawn with walking sticks aint much fun to watch (could be). So much has happened and ALOT of people are influenced by the Warden and Hawke. Morigans baby would be like? 7 years old or so (taken it starts right after DA2 ends).

And a faster response on quest bugs/bugs in general for DA3 would be awesome.

Also i was expecting more DLC for DA2, just Legacy/MotA and some appearance packs... that's it?!
Sure : social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/260/index/10245444 This after 1 year?

I just love Dragon Age.

I just startet playing DA:O again and i play it 8 times through inc. DA:A GoA and WH. Every single character has its own personality and their behavior as well. I play the stories with as many possible changes. Then DA2 with the same strategy. It's gonna be a long way again and hope it is worth it.

My ten wishes for the DA3I (Focuses on importing stories):

1. I wanna know what happened to Connor (If the demon goes on vacation in the story)

2. What happens to the cult if you join them at the temple.

3. Also, i want to see whats going on in Orzammar, not only when you chose Bhelen or Harrowmont, also the effects  if there is branka alive or you destroyed the amboss. (I also play that story in the four different ways)

4. I wanna know what happened to Shale if she heads for tevinter with wynne to free her from her golemform.

5. Charakterspecific changes you can arrange before DA:O ends. (Dalish: If you arrange to get them a own homeland, Noble Human: If you marry Anora, Noble Dwarf: if you keep your child, or you become a paragon, etc.)

6. What happens after DA:A especially if you spare the architect or not.

7. I wanna know whats behind flemeth and morrigan ( i wanna meet her child if the ritual happened)

8. What happened to Amaranthine. How did it change after all decisions of the Warden.

9. I wanna meet alistair again (if he is not king of ferelden)

10. I wanna meet the warden from DA:O and Hawke, or coroperate with them, whatever i want them to be a big part of the story. :D

Anyway, I still have to play about a thousand hours before my stories are fit for the third DA. :o

I wanna thank Bioware for creating Dragon Age. I've never played games over such a long period apart from these 2.

Don't even know where to start..

1.1 character customization: would be pretty cool if one could choose races like in origins, meaning humans, elves and dwarves, and probably, as an addition, qunari. I've always wanted to play a qunari.
1.2 classes: not only mage, thief and warrior, but also (like in mass effect) a combination of all these, like a warmage e.g.
2.1 character specialization: system in da2 was cool, but i'd like more variety, especially for warriors. Like in origins, warriors should be able to carry all weapons.. U no what i mean, flexibility!
3.1 story: dao was perfect! Epic story; at the end i had the feeling of really having made sth, in da2 i felt like having helped within a microcontext, that little conflict between mages and templars.. So i'd suggest taking dao as an ideal.
3.2 characters: want to see morrigan (!), alistair (!), sten (!), orghren and anders

This is a pretty hot-button issue... for a lot of people, for good reason. I am one of the people who did enjoy Origins/Awakening and loved 2 as well. So far there has not been a piece of content released for DA or DA2, I did not buy and enjoy.

Thus making me biased as all hell I'm aware, but never the less. That being said... 2 definitely spoiled me for Origins. The... lets call it a "combat system" of Origins now seems remarkably annoying, slow and dull.

So for 3? I'd love to see;

Consistant Combat, you proved you could make it fun in 2, keep it this route or improve upon it. But please, do not backstep.

The Flemeth Bloodline, it's already been confirmed Flemeth will be in, so we know that. A better explanation of what the hell is going on, that would be swell. What with the infamous Ritual and "Beyond the Glass Mirror" routine with Morrigan, some answers on that entire plot-arch would be much appreciated. Especially if you go this route and end up mysteriously vanishing into a realm beyond reality with Morrigan, and the power of a Old God brewing. Then there's the many different theories on if Flemeth and Morrigan actually exist outside of each other or not - you get the idea. Clarity.

More Conversation Options, conversations is something Bioware, in my opinion - does fantastically. Banter in general is just superb, and the actual dialouge with characters? Sublime. That being said, the whole... Good, Bad and Ugly approach to convos? A bit.. old. I understand it on the basis for simplicity in the long run and consistancy across boarders, but a biiiit more variety in general, not withstanding special situations of bribery or threats, would be awesome.

Length, I loved DA2, I really did. But this was by all rights, shorter than Origins as a whole. I'm sure there's a bunch of reasons and legitimate explanations, but it simply was. And that bothered me, it bothered me -because- I liked DA2. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have cared less. So really it's your fault for making the game good. How dare you.

Character Customization, this has been hammered on many times before so the general idea is the same. I'd love more control over what my team wears, statistical effects in gear, more choices for hair, skin color settings and even races if possible. Quite honestly my main concern is with gear and apperance, Races don't matter to me as much given how well DA2 pulled off being strictly human.

Previous Companion Closure, as in what happened to them? Do we get to encounter them again? Are they friend, are they foe, are they both? From both games would be fantastic, I'd love to see Ohgren and Varric meet, or see Drunken Alistar {If you went that way} try to hit on Merril. Maybe have Leilana beat the living tar out of Fenris because really, someone needs to. Etc etc etc.

I could think of many more, but I'm going to be eating dinner and trying to figure out how to Sync my damned BSN/PSN/Origin profile so I can gain access to my ME3 MP account on here.
