I know I'm not the only one this annoys.  You'll be in the middle of a match and then all of a sudden you notice one of your teammates is just hiding in a corner and sitting there doing nothing for multiple waves of combat.  Now I don't really care about the XP loss from the extraction because all of my classes are already maxed, but it's the principle of the thing.  I'm sick and tired of people thinking they can farm credits by joining a game, hiding in a corner and expecting their team to win the mission without them, especially when you are playing on silver and gold.  If you don't participate, you don't deserve the credits.  I'm petitioning BioWare to put a patch in the game that automatically kicks someone who sits there inactive for a set period of time.  There is already precedent in other online games such as the Battlefield.

There needs to be SOME sort of kick.

Leeching is simply glitching without use of a broken mechanic and further devalues the mini-transactions that are making Bioware/EA money from people buying kits - and, as such, should be a HIGH priority for them to fix.

I've actually seen others fall into the map, and I'm aware of that issue, but those people are still trying to interact.  I've confronted a number of players on this issue who admitted that they were bored with the MP, but still wanted the credits so they just sit there.  The game can tell if you are trying to play or not.

even if it's not their fault they're stuck, if they're stuck permanently, like the extra-dimentional vanguard, i think it is ok to boot.  they're not actually playing anyway.  they can find a new match.

right now, if you are a d-bag, there is no incentive at all for you not to credit farm by afking- and, because we can't name people (which given the potential for abuse, i agree is good), or vote kick, an auto kick is a good solution.

actually this is in bioware's interest.  they're trying to sell packs for real money.  easy credits means those people who perhaps might buy packs certainly won't if they can just afk.

oh i definitely agree  if there afked for more then 2 mins kick them, but knowing how some people are they will  try to kick you no mater what there has to be away that can be used but not be used to grief people and or  set upa kick per limit game.

I don't think the in-game kick should be in the hands of the players at all. It should just be an automatic kick for people who sit around too long.

I think it should be a dual system of inactivity AND voting to boot.

What if someone is in a private game and has permission from friends to go do something (whatever that may be) for a short time?

Also, inactivity isn't enough. Because there's the rubberband on controller trick. Maybe it's a script that looks for obvious non-playing behavior (no movement, the same exact movement, no weapon/power usage, no objectives taken, etc.).

Yeah, and leechers would come back every 5 minutes to press W once during the game so they aren't automatically kicked out.

What the game needs is text chat, and the text chat needs a /kick -> vote kick option.

This thread is the 28th copy of the other threads just like it.  Everyone wants the leechers auto-kicked.  Well, anyone with a brain.   We might as well all just keep making threads that repeat old ones because the old ones werent good enough.

On top of that, the OP types in caps, as if his post is more important than anyone elses.  So, yeah I am proud of the feedback I provided.

I typed in caps so hopefully the BioWare people would notice.  I posted it again because BioWare won't take note unless we continue to complain.  If you only come in to talk trash on people's forum posts then your opinion isn't wanted anyway.

Unless they are way more aggressive about filling in games that had people leave, I'm not sure there is a point to an auto-kick. Your playing a man down either way.


Also, they need to fix the vanguard bug first.

It's worked in other games.  I'm guessing you've never played Battlefield.

Lol I have and I have also played gears of war. So I know for a fact it doesn't work.
