This, basically.

Earn your credits people, don't exploit a co-op game like a scrub.

Sure, you have the right to play how you want, but I have the right to troll your attempts lol.

Yet all that matters is, someday, Bioware will decide to put an end to this exploit. And history tells us they will ban the people abusing this exploit.

Turian - Exploiting Glitches is dishonorable. How do you expect to move up the meritocracy if you resort to such base tactics?

Krogan - Exploits? Glitches? Can't you just headbutt the blasted thing into giving you credits?

Quarian - I don't exploit anything...(shuffles feet nervously)

Asari - Oh you guys are getting too worked up! Come and watch me dance! Tee Hee!

Batarian - Was that a dig against slavery I just read?! You humans will rue the day you insulted the hegemony!

Geth - Geth do not intentionally exploit glitches

Salarian - Too much work involved in playing legit. Need to get credits for better gear before I'm 20 and over the hill.

Vorcha - We no exploit glitch today! Big ones watching! We no exploit!

Elcor - (With passion) I do not tolerate people who abuse the rules for any reason

Volus - Ksh... What exploit?... Ksh... Oh you mean the one I inserted...Ksh...To make my friends jealous?... Ksh... They haven't fixed that yet?

This might be the most incoherent post I've ever read.  For the record, I'm completely against glitching, but goddamn...

I think you're confused about the definition of incoherent.  It's perfectly coherent, you just disagree with it.

This number has never changed since MP launched.  What evidence do you have that the amount of extant credits has any effect on credit pricing in other currencies?

It has.  Resurgence packs cost 99k credits for basically the same level of items as the 60k spectre packs.  Even if this was always the original price point they had in mind, if you don't understand that EA knows there are going to be exploiters/cheaters stealing value from their system, and haven't already tried to price their digital goods accordingly, you don't understand basic economics.

This is such a fail analogy/fail logic.  Credits are not a zero sum game.  Credits one person earns don't detract from the credits another person earns.  The concept of "stealing" is not applicable.

They didn't earn the credits.  They stole them.  The system was meant price 150k credits at $5 or 20-25 min. of someone's time.  If you don't understand the concept "time is money" then I can't help you understand my point.  The analogy is only imperfect because it's impossible to measure the real cost of the stolen credits.  If 100% of all credit exploiters would not buy any credits, if they weren't given the option of cheating, then you are correct.  My analogy lies with the assumption that there is a finite number of exploiters who would be purchasing credits if they physically couldn't exploit.  I don't think this assumption is unreasonable, considering there are many people purchasing credits right now.  You seem to think there isn't though, which is odd.

The value exploiters are stealing is coming straight out of EA/BW's pocket.  What incentive does someone have to spend real money to unlock packs to be competitive/have a bigger epeen if someone else can just as easily exploit the same results.

The incentive is threat of being banned if they exploit.  Which is exactly why those people will be banned (at least some of them).  People buy credits.  It's happening.  Right now.  Search the forums if you don't believe me.  And you are correct on one point.  Stealing credits is stealing money from EA/Bioware, directly.  It is thus stealing money from honest customers, indirectly.  If you don't understand this concept, I suggest picking up a basic econ textbook.  Corporations will always attempt to pass new costs onto their customers.  It's called running a business for a profit.  If they didn't do it, they wouldn't be able to offer you a product in the first place.

Some of you may know, I have nothing against credit exploiters, because the store system blows. HOWEVER, I'm also all about getting some laughs at other peoples' expense, because I'm a bad person.

Moving on- I was quick searching for farm lobbies, and gotin a credit exploit lobby that wasn't private. I could tell because as I was loading in I heard, "Is (the host) back in yet?" Followed by "Yeah, I'm back."

I decided to grab my mic, and waited. By the time I was in, the objective was finished and they were going down. I ran in with a missile launcher.

*Woosh BOOM*
Exploiter- "What was that?"
Me- "Don't worry guys, I got this!"
Exploiter, as I'm reviving them- "What? No, stop you'll mess it up! You f***ing idiot!"
Me- "Wait, I don't get it, why are you yelling at me? I'm helping! Oh, I went down. Don't worry, I have medigels!"
*Slurry of insults as I waste all my missiles to finish the wave*
The rage was fantastic because after that they would have to spend 15-20 minutes going through Bronze again

This post was hilarious. Even funnier is that when I read it, I heard it as Caboose and Church's voices!

This is wonderful TC...
I actually have no problem with credit glitchers, let them glitch if they want, it doesn't affect me.

However this is gold, I think next time I run into a random credit glitch match I will do the same thing.

People dislike it because we presume others are playing by the same rules. Just because the characters you're shooting are controlled by the computer, doesn't mean there's no element of competion in ME3's multiplayer.

It's similar to the reason some players dislike the people who spend real money to buy packs.

When the group accepts that coin exploiting is against the rules, those who've accepted the rules make many lulz when someone goes vigilante on the criminals cheaters while playing dumb and keeping a straight face.

EDIT: for hyperbole removal. They're cheaters, not criminals. :bandit:

Also, I totally buy packs. I think I enjoy it more than actually playing my character. True story.

i veiw it as if they dont wanna waver though 9+ hours to get credits, granted credit farming does take a bit of time.

The amount credit exploiters are costing honest players is not easily quantified, to be sure, but their is obviously a cost.  So the argument that "this is a co-op game, we are not hurting you!" is bogus.  Let's stop the comfort food you keep feeding yourself to feel better about the fact you're a cheater.

This right here is what some people either don't get or don't want to get because they don't want to feel like they're actually doing anything wrong.  It's like people who shoplift from a supermarket.  "Why do you care, I'm not taking anything from you.  These stores can afford it."

Well yes, they could but they don't pay for it you jacktard.  They pass the value of all those stolen goods back to us and because of people like you, we all end up paying $400-500 more each year on groceries than we would have if you could learn to keep your hands off of other people's property.

dont compare theft to glitch exploitation.

@Avissel- You need to know how the credit exploit works to get the joke. Basically, I just robbed some people of a little over a quarter million credits.

Really don't need to know how to do the exploit, just need to know how to mess with the exploiters.

I try to survive to extraction anyway, so this is a win/win for me.  Image IPB

I don't need a counter point, I'm not the one trying to rationalize cheating.

@DIY.

You voluntarily entered a contract with EA games, which stipulates you will not explot glitches. Doing so is breach of contract.

Please stop accusing others of being a child when you're clearly not ready for the life of an adult. Don't sign contracts you don't understand. You'll end up as a human centipede iPod, eating other people's excrement. Seriously, its a thing.

I actually didn't know that was a sitpulation in the contract, I have a clear stance though, if the Dev doesn't like it they can fix it.

Banning for exploits ins't the industry norm. Banning for cheating is and that suystem has worked pretty good so far.

You think I'd sign anything with EA games? You know...the company that beat out BoA as worst company of the year? Not likely.

I don't even know what to say to the child bit, mind your own buisness?

Actually.  You do.  When you hit the stupid little "I agree" button.  Ya know, before you can install content.  Or use it.

Electronic Signing is the same thing as affixing your signature.  Has held up in courts across the land.

Yeah, they should be able to just skip the grind so they can get on with playing the game ... Oh, wait, that "grind" *IS* the game.  Or is the game having all weapons unlocked at rank X and all characters so they can get on the ranking board for ... oh, wait, there is no ranking board for that, only for actually playing the GAME (aka "the grind").

So, what BioWare should do with Glitch Cheaters is to just unlock everything for them so they will go away!  Brilliant, saturo2, you are a genius.

(FYI, DIY, that *IS* a strawman arguement.  In this case, used to parody and ridicule saturo2, and to point out the rediculousness of cheating at a game in order to get an advantage at playing the game you are trying to avoid playing by cheating.)

Compare theft to glitch exploitation.

Wow, it caries as much weight as your statement did.

Actually, more, since international courts have found theft of virtual property to be as valid as theft of real property.  This glitch exploitation is VERY comparable to the case of a Korean man who wound up getting (due to a glitch) all of someone else's WoW items.  When he refused to return them, he was charged with theft.
