Note: Manuals and contracts are written by people. To use an extreme example: Slavery had contracts between owners, yet everyone knows it would be RIGHT to breach them.

This is silly, not JUST because you compared a Terms of Service agreement between a game company and a player to SLAVERY- but also because those contracts were between the owners, and were not signed / had no input from the slave, ie. the person who was actually being wronged in the first place. It infringed on basic human rights. This contract does not.

( Really, it doesn't. Seriously. I can already see you typing something about how it infringes on the right to pursue happiness or something really dumb like that, but it does not STOP you from pursuing happiness outright- it simply stops some people from getting digital items that COULD make them happier. That's not a basic human right, and it never will be. Take your hands off the keyboard right now. )

Sorry. Exploiting the bug is wrong. It just is.

"I signed a contract and I didn't know I was breaking the contract- but even though I am breaking the contract, it's actually the Dev's fault and they should be the one to fix it. Also, I just want to say that I would never actually sign a contract with them, even though I did."

I actually didn't know that was a sitpulation in the contract, I have a clear stance though, if the Dev doesn't like it they can fix it.

Banning for exploits ins't the industry norm. Banning for cheating is and that suystem has worked pretty good so far.

You think I'd sign anything with EA games? You know...the company that beat out BoA as worst company of the year? Not likely.

In order to play the game, you have consented to the terms of the End User License Agreement (commonly called EULA).  The fact that it is a contract has been help up in legal courts around the world.

And banning for exploits is very common.  Many people have been banned from various on-line games for using developer codes, or enabling debug mode.

Please lock, it's nothing more than one person making RL threats and people responding to him anyways. Plus several posts actually describe process to do said exploit. Not a good thing to find on this forum IMO.

To the people less informed on the exploit, here's how it goes.

You play bronze to wave 10, complete the objective (~18 minutes), then everyone dies intentionally. They switch to gold difficulty, and some exploiting/cheating of the system happens (If you want more info youtube it), and now they can repeat wave 10 gold for 40-45k credits every 3 minutes. By me completing wave 10, the exploit is nullified and they have to redo the initial bronze run.

My calculations-

18 minutes to redo bronze = 6 gold exploit runsAn average payout of 42k credits per run = 252,000 credits missed.

Outstanding! Sow a little chaos for all the spoiloiters!

@D.I.Y- Were you in the lobby I trolled? Anyone who takes a game so seriously that they would yell like those people did, more than has it coming. It's funny that I'm the immature one for playing the game to extraction, but it's fine for them to call me a f***ing idiot for reviving them. Grow up. I would get punched for this in real life? Yeah, you're the mature person here.

No, but I hate trolls. You're a troll. Thus you deserve some of your own medicine and you deserve it 10 fold.
If you trolled a 20 minute project I had on the go for the lulz I'd probably punch you. That's disrespectful and indicates you only care when someone can get in your face for being rude.

Funny you're trolling a video game and then telling me to grow up.

Your a disgrace. I have played since release and cleared everything on insanity and played everything on Gold. Ive known about the glitch from day 1 and to this day i have never even tried searching for it. One time i accidentally joined a lobby in the progress of setting up the glitch and left. It's cheating, it says it in the ToS or EuLA or w/e. Exploiting a glitch is a bannable offense since everquest 1. How old are you?

I wonder if it's against the rules to quote people in signatures.

EDIT: I'll find out either way.

It does make total sense.  DIY exploits for credits.  It's something he doesn't want attention brought to because it would ruin his free credits.  This thread brings attention from both Bioware and other players, both of whom have the potential to ruin his free lunch.  So he therefore chooses his language carefully, while underhandedly insulting the integrity of everyone who agrees with the OP.  The immediate emotional response of people whose integrity is being called into question is typically not rational.  He hopes if he gets enough of these emotional responses from people who can't control their language, he can report it, and the mods can close the thread.  He's also banking on the fact that the mods are not smart enough to see what he's doing, and that he himself will not get reported.

In conclusion, his only goal is to derail this thread into chaos and have it locked.

Also this thread is full of strawman. How could anyone think otherwise?

Web definitions:(Straw-Man Argument) A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position. ....
Yes, it is as you have been providing them.  Thanks for providing the entertainment.

So I guess my strawmen was attacking the concept of someone trolling another person who didn't cause them harm. Yep, total Strawman argument right there.

See?  You can be even funnier!  Just wait until you get to high school.  You can have your choice of the debate team OR the comedy parts on the drama team!  Wow, you will be great!

Ok, and in case you weren't TRYING to be funny, the logical falasy of your strawman right there is "who didn't cause them harm" as the exploiters are cheating a system that we all agreed to play cooperatively.

Careful guys, the Reapers may make an appearance in this thread xD "You represent chaos; we represent order."

I myself haven't actually trolled anyone that I know of... Not in-game at least. I find most of my MP experiences enjoyable. The most I've done is refrained from picking people up who die constantly.

Has to be approved by the EA QA testers who live in tibet....due to being in a very isolated part of the world, the software builds have to be delivered by llamas guided by blind chirpas so it takes a while. Patience!

I kid. Or do I?

"So long as the store is based on a RNG and there is no trade system, no one is earning anything. Let me pose a situation.

Guy A spends 60 hours of play time accumulating credits before he gets a Black Widow, playing legitimately.
Guy B spends 2 hours of play time accumulating credits before he gets a Black Widow, playing legitimately.
Guy C gets a Black Widow in his first Spectre pack, playing legitimately.
Guy D spends 2 hours of play time accumulating credits before he gets a Black Widow, using the credit exploit.

Now how do we decide what earning is? How would an outsider figure out who played illegitimately?"

The original comment was about earning a Black Widow X legitimately. Guy B can only be exploiting, Guy C only has a Black Widow I, and a lot of work to do. Guy D would have had to get unbelievably lucky with his packs, or, he used the credit exploit, and a configuration exploit also.

Farming Gold takes 17-24 minutes per map, earning 70-75k a shot, a Spectre pack is 60K and even if every Spectre pack all somehow had a Black Widow, a less than 1% probability per pack, its still gonna be 10 packs, so 3 hours minimum with the luck of an Irish Leprechaun.

Exploiters, as in all games, make those gaining less rewards with more effort unhappy.
