Thread will not be a discussion of "strawmen arguments", personal attacks, contracts or it will be locked.

To be fair the thread only exists because Bioware has taken no action against players openly admitting to using this technique.  While we are aware that Bioware is taking action against those using the Commendation pack glitch this issue has been around since the demo and not once has there been a formal acknowledgement of action to be taken against those players openly using this technique.  Personally I wish all threads concerning cheating would be immediately locked.  It is bad enough that Bioware is tolerating blatant cheating in the multiplayer format of ME3, but the official forum should not host threads with players 'defending' this glitch.

Bioware please help your community eradicate this glitch.  It is a shame that many honest players have spent money in support of your product while others are allowed to benefit from the continued use of this glitch with no action or response from you.

@MissMinaethiel- You could troll people by talking into your mic. Amazed by a female voice, more people will turn on their mics. Then give your mic to your boyfriend and have him ask in a creepy voice where they live. Then watch them leave.

Excellent idea! All I have to acquire is the boyfriend, lol :P

I'd still like to know Bioware's stance on this and/or any possible repercussions for those who perform the exploit.

That said, that original post was hilarious. Can't see me doing that though.

Note: Manuals and contracts are written by people. To use an extreme example: Slavery had contracts between owners, yet everyone knows it would be RIGHT to breach them.

This is silly, not JUST because you compared a Terms of Service agreement between a game company and a player to SLAVERY- but also because those contracts were between the owners, and were not signed / had no input from the slave, ie. the person who was actually being wronged in the first place. It infringed on basic human rights. This contract does not.

( Really, it doesn't. Seriously. I can already see you typing something about how it infringes on the right to pursue happiness or something really dumb like that, but it does not STOP you from pursuing happiness outright- it simply stops some people from getting digital items that COULD make them happier. That's not a basic human right, and it never will be. Take your hands off the keyboard right now. )

Sorry. Exploiting the bug is wrong. It just is.

Calm down....gosh. *o*

You're putting words in my mouth, words not yet said and replying with passion against them.

1 - I said EXTREME example for a reason.

2 - You assumed breaching of contract was by the slave. In fact, if I was a slave owner, and decided slavery was wrong, but had a contract in place to deliver slaves to someone - I would breach it. This is what I meant.

3 - Nobody said it was not wrong. Cheating on your wife is wrong - but depending on the situation we can exercise reasonable judgement. For eg. if she's horrible, abuses the husband and is foul generally lessens the wrong of the cheater, and if she's loyal, nice and considerate then the guy is a bigger moron.

I don't believe in absolute morality, because morality is like food - there's general agreement that chocolate is good, but it's still subjective.

WANTED: BSN boyfriend for trolling. Requires good sense of humor and a willingless to induce rage and/or quitting. Must also be able to act stalkerish without dying of laughter or embarrassment.

@Seeten- I don't think there are many, if any, people using the exploit in an effort to get ultra rares to X. Why? Because the store is still random. It'd take dozens of hours to get anything to X, and even still, is that kind of effort not earning?

That's where the problem lies. There is no definition for earning here. The store doesn't reward effort. Even spending real money doesn't get you what you want. Think of all the poor casual bronze players who can only play an hour a day. Even if they constantly save, they're still going to miss a huge portion of the game.

And I will continue to ignore arguments of morality. Morals are a guide on how you live your life for yourself, not how others live their lives for you. Not everyone shares the same morals as you.

@DIY.

You voluntarily entered a contract with EA games, which stipulates you will not explot glitches. Doing so is breach of contract.

Please stop accusing others of being a child when you're clearly not ready for the life of an adult. Don't sign contracts you don't understand. You'll end up as a human centipede iPod, eating other people's excrement. Seriously, its a thing.

Just want to point out that virtual EULA's have been challenged and deemed not legal, since you never sign your name to any of it. NCSOFT tried that approach and a judge destroyed them over it. I find it amazing how many people actually think virtual EULA's hold any weight.

As for the credit exploiters, I don't care for them one way or the other, they don't hurt my gameplay or my ability to have fun. If they got to cheat then they really need to quit playing videogames.

Another moment of trolling-

Was playing a different game with my buddy. My mic stopped working for some reason. We tried for like 10 minutes before I could get it to work. We restarted our lobby, and my buddy joins talking. I ignore him for a minute then ask-

Me-"Gunna turn your mic on?"
Him-"It is on."
I continue to ignore him.
Me- "Oh man, I hope it's not happening to you too."
Him- "Bullsh*t, you're trolling."
I continue to ignore him. Eventually he starts yelling trying to get me to talk. I hold back my laughter till he gets pissed and starts messing with his mic. He was livid.

Some of you may know, I have nothing against credit exploiters, because the store system blows. HOWEVER, I'm also all about getting some laughs at other peoples' expense, because I'm a bad person.

Moving on- I was quick searching for farm lobbies, and gotin a credit exploit lobby that wasn't private. I could tell because as I was loading in I heard, "Is (the host) back in yet?" Followed by "Yeah, I'm back."

I decided to grab my mic, and waited. By the time I was in, the objective was finished and they were going down. I ran in with a missile launcher.

*Woosh BOOM*
Exploiter- "What was that?"
Me- "Don't worry guys, I got this!"
Exploiter, as I'm reviving them- "What? No, stop you'll mess it up! You f***ing idiot!"
Me- "Wait, I don't get it, why are you yelling at me? I'm helping! Oh, I went down. Don't worry, I have medigels!"
*Slurry of insults as I waste all my missiles to finish the wave*
The rage was fantastic because after that they would have to spend 15-20 minutes going through Bronze again

You, sir. Are brilliant.

I'm going to scope out credit exploiters just so I can partake in this kind of fun.

LOL! I don't know how you managed to keep that charade up. I would've started laughing as soon as he accused me of trolling. May have to attempt this one day

Has to be approved by the EA QA testers who live in tibet....due to being in a very isolated part of the world, the software builds have to be delivered by llamas guided by blind chirpas so it takes a while. Patience!

I kid. Or do I?

I've known the guy in my trolling stories for almost a decade now, so we know how to push each other's buttons. I make fun of him for being afraid of snakes and not having an appendix, and he makes fun of me for being afraid of clowns (I was kidnapped by one. :c) and for being color blind.

All you really have to do is have an extremely dry sense of humor. My ex-wife never had a clue when I was serious and when I was making fun of her/teasing/trolling even after 9 years of marriage.

Also, use push to talk, and you can laugh your face off without them knowing ;)

Sadly, as much fun as this sounds, I'm already married, and my wife would surely see this as evidence of infidelity...Image IPB
