Whether or not BW would lose my trust and I'd be totally turned off from purchasing or supporting their work later is up to the EC.
But it's the ate-a-fantastic-dinner-but-saw-a-roach-on-my-plate-near-the-end situation with me. I still have a bad taste in my mouth and just scratching my butt at this moment.

What did they want? That was the impression they gave me, more closure.

Thank the Maker. Perhaps the forum will slowly become a platform to discuss Mass Effect as a whole again.Mr Massakka wrote...
I recognize a great loss of supporting threads about it

Some people have been banned for obvious reasons. Some people gave up on BioWare, Some are waiting for the extended cut DLC. Some may have moved on to other games at the time being. That's just on these boards. The Retake movement is going on and evolving to a Retake Gaming movement apparently.

Different endings is not the same thing as more closure. Some of us want more options than synthesis, control and destroy. The Reapers winning by destroying everyone and the galactic forces winning through some other means than the star child's options are the most requested I believe. Although some want the star child completely removd.

It seemed to me that the largest demand of the movement was for a happier ending, which they may or may not be getting, we will have to wait and see.

1. Many people have simply moved on. They are playing other games are not giving much thought to Mass Effect 3 anymore.
2. Bioware announced DLC that would extend the ending. While not everyone was happy with the announcement, many are taking a 'wait and see' approach. I expect this place to get a lot more active after that DLC is released, for either better or worse.

That's good. As a whole, the gaming industry needs a swift kick in the pants.

Isn't some of those wants a tad unrealistic?
A new ending? Removing the star child from the game?

When you neutrally think about it: Yes. Huge enthusiasm was with us back then. It got lost with time and only those remained who believed in IT. After the Extended Cut announcement, they got slashed too and now... here we are.Naughty Bear wrote...

Some yes. But I don't see how adding additional endings to the current ones is a big deal. I'd be happy with fleshing out the whole thing about star child, EMS dependent victory situations from conventional warfare including a Reaper victory. Not to mention more epilogue scenes dealing with the fallout of all those choices.

It's a video game. Unless you really have absolutely nothing else to live for, usually other things catch up and forces people to move on.
I have nothing else to do so yeah.
