i only Nit pick when its needed  bioware  Doesn't really Listen  Ea  = never has never will  Bioware  hasn't been Listening since  D.A  that i've noticed perhaps  before that i dont know for certain but i know Mass effect 3 and DA 2  was one of the games that a good amount of people flamed  at Ea/bioware for it  i know that the  Flamed at them for the pc verion of C&C 4  >_<  but  dont get me wrong  tho they did decent games and i agree entirely with Yajuu on this  that a majority of gaming companies only improve on their "next title" if  bioware has listened to us they Wont make the same mistake as  they did with Me3 with plot holes that wer not their entirely  ex  Starchild/star gazer + Catalyst  AI   "no back history no  clues what so ever"  every character in the ME fanchise had a back story  where as the 3  i listed never did  which Rubs the true fans the wrong way  which   also pisses us off even more when it never was in the  Me franchise "aside from Derelict reaper and Saran Arcturius " was reaper indoctrination  Sure it happens to NPC's but it doesn't mean thats what the ME Franchise is about realy   ik off topic lawl.. but its just how i see it realy..

I personally loved DA2...but i didn't pre-order, or even hear anything about it till it came out, so my expectations were...nearly zero.

But yeah, i understand what heavymetal is sayin, its our place to give feedback, but if all we do is moan and groan and complain...? what will we get? a bunch of devs that resent their "fans" and then lose the want to please them.
I mean...if you were working at a fast food place all day and you were doing your best to make food REALLY fast, but also make sure you made it right and neatly, and you thought you did a pretty good job but all you got were complaints...would you feel like trying again? whether you actually screwed up or not, when given nothing but negative critisizm one does not normally feel like trying again...

It's our place to demand a change when there's a legitimate "transgression" and it's their place to accept or deny the demand.  When Ford's vehicles got people killed because of faulty brakes, the people could demand that the cars be made correctly.  Call it childish if you want... but you can't call it unwarranted.  In an ideal world, emotion wouldn't infiltrate the message sent out for a change... but it's not an ideal world... and the mature person would pick the meat from the bone.

Ultimately though, this scenario brings into question which side is more childish, the complainers.. or the company that made something so bad (unrepentently) that it got these kinds of complaints to begin with.

You'll see just how "dead" the retake movement is after the extended cut DLC is released.  Unless the catalyst is removed & or they completely change the ending somehow via cinematics, this retake movement is going to go off like a atom bomb.

Many of us are cautiously optimistic about the Extended Cut - it probably won't fix absolutely everything wrong with the ending, but it might fix some things, and I take it as a positive gesture to the fans.

Most of us want BioWare to succeed and were kind of put off by the more radical tactics of a few of the other Retakers. That being said, BioWare's PR people took several missteps that made the reaction so much worse, in particular the many examples of condescending rhetoric. But we're still here, and those of us that are still here are clearly willing to give BioWare another chance.

Not everything about the Retake movement is a shining testament to the best in human nature. There has certainly been a lot of screaming and whining. But on the whole, I don't think consumer empowerment is a bad thing. I think the ending was simply a jolt for many into realizing the slow and steady growth of EA nickel-and-diming. And the whole thing spawned some very sophisticated discussions of what constitutes good storytelling. That, too, is not a bad thing.

Not True  Game companies themselves Dont make Change till their next game no matter how badly  Any one Demands it   and honestly comparing them to a Car Company ? that their is pointless view right their  Games Do not get people "killed" over  one or more Flaws that the "cry babies"  complain about  Look at fallout   and a few others that had bad Reviews?  they didn't change till their NEXT  TITLE RELEASE  which is more than likely  What bioware is going to do and honestly i dont see why you guys cry and 13itch  about every little thing  it wasn't intended  for pleasing no Games are  Their intended to keep our minds off of troubles and enjoy the game For what it is  So what ME3  had things you babies dont like  its just a game as i said just to keep your mind off of your PAST or anything that UPSETS OR PISSES YOU OFF. So please Do  us a favor for those  who actually "LIKE OR LOVE IT" a favor   Grow a pair of Balls and  dont by another Game from bioware  or Keep silent and take ME3 for what it is.

its your Fault For not   listening to player revies Not bioware   nor the Press   and other websites that gave it a good rating "Which i agree with"   dont Get me wrong   the game is good but you have to see it from the perspective Mass effect never had MP  They Took their time  Making it for those that DEMANDED   MP  based games And Guess what?  They Did  so   on Me3  Which is why they probably didn't "fill the blanks plotholes" or W/e you guys are Crying about. that or Some douche bag  Leaked it and they decided to change it  as i keep Saying on OP Raptor Op Goliath  and fortress  im tired of  defending you guys that Cry and Moan to bioware  Just because you see flaws and  constantly Anger those who like the game .

I mean...if you were working at a fast food place all day and you were doing your best to make food REALLY fast, but also make sure you made it right and neatly, and you thought you did a pretty good job but all you got were complaints...would you feel like trying again? whether you actually screwed up or not, when given nothing but negative critisizm one does not normally feel like trying again...

I agree with Yajuu but its Pointless enough as it is  just over one little Tiny itty bitty flaw  that  people Cry and moan about  which pisses me off when they do  if i had my mood swing right now you can Count how many "cry babies would be litterally crying or hospitalized"   hell i remember when i put my sister in the hospital cause of something she said "which i regret" but the point is when i get angry you know  when to stay the hell away   but i've made it up to her in the end and forgives me  but i loved Da2  as well  and the "awakening"   side of it to  but i wished that in DA2 they kept the  classes  i hated playing as the "hero" in that game   Such a err "******" i guess you could say but i liked the voice acting in it tho now if only they add it into DA3 if they do make it along with  bringing back the Dalish   Dwarves and maybe the  human elves   which would be an interesting Twist to have to be honest.

You seem to have gotten things confused. The car thing was simply an example... but the same elements (a company selling a product/service that they screwed up with while others were able to look past the faults).

If it was a "every little thing," trust me, the backlash would not have been this extreme.  The backlash is there because Bioware seriously dropped the ball. 

This also has nothing to do with whether you personally enjoyed the game as a whole or otherwise (I did).  Not the point.

I'll follow your logic for a second though:

In fun, I simply showed you how hypocritical your sentiment was.  This forum is to discuss all aspects of the game.  If you love it, cry it from the mountain tops.. but in a discussion forum, be prepared to actually... discuss it.  (Particularly with people that have a different point of view)

So relax there tiger, time you understood another thing about me.  I don't hate Bioware and I'm not angry with the game, the ending just so happens to be the best topic to discuss right now concerning the game (and that ending just so happens to be bad, bad enough to seize the opportunity presented through DLC to fix it).  Bioware has earned it.

Also according to "Hold the Line" the Retakers have "Lost the BSN" so they are encouraging people not to post here - maybe that has something to do with it, not sure

 as for what i stated   i know to the negative minded people that could be taken any number of ways but its true if  the people who "cry about it" should just  Leave the game entirely  and not post anything about it  Yet they do  just to annoy people who actually "understood" the concept that bioware was getting at  Such as myself. but  since this is a no spoiler thread i cant really "say and explain in detail"  what i know cause of those that havent played the game  or are about to since it would ruin it for them  and any one else that just got it.

but i do agree that their are a few missing elements Primarily Star child star gazer and the " AI" on the catalyst  reason why i stated that is because theirs no "Background" in them at all which i could see why people would flame at it but i'm just tired of reading it on everythread i've ever went to. but they need to do it reasonablly  if some one posted it then bioware will only improve on the next Title "which was confirmed through  Documentary of Me2-3" they hinted that it was only the end for shepard  Not the ME franchise   tho i think they  didn't want to admit that even it was hinted in the Game itself  on thessia and  on the catalyst itself  "the  Reapers wer not the first  nor the masters they are simply pawns for their masters"   stated by the prothean VI   that was left on thessia.

Also there was no hint, Bioware fully intends to make more Mass Effect... but they seriously compromised the quality bar with how this game ended.  This quality can be regained by fixing it.

As For my comment about future ME Titles they hinted it in the Documentries you just need to listen carefully  to what gets said. but as for the "topics"  i'll pass  i dont like  Typing while i recover its bad as it is that i'm going against doctors orders on being Awake and doing things like this when i'm not supposed to. but when i feel better and up to it theirs a small chance "no promises" that i might   Comment on them but for now i'll pass.

Also this isn't the first time i've sent a virus to some one  Via Web  i've done it to more than 1000 people in my life time so far  Majority from  other Websites So far you would of been the first if i hadn't read your comment  on this Website.

Yes they are but allot of people are  Still "crying"  about it so to speak. in my opinion i'd wish they stop doing so and   either Stop buying bioware Merch and focus on another game that deserves their time  those that do like it  i am  sure their getting annoyed by their moaning like i am.

As For my comment about future ME Titles they hinted it in the Documentries you just need to listen carefully  to what gets said. but as for the "topics"  i'll pass  i dont like  Typing while i recover its bad as it is that i'm going against doctors orders on being Awake and doing things like this when i'm not supposed to. but when i feel better and up to it theirs a small chance "no promises" that i might   Comment on them but for now i'll pass.

Also this isn't the first time i've sent a virus to some one  Via Web  i've done it to more than 1000 people in my life time so far  Majority from  other Websites So far you would of been the first if i hadn't read your comment  on this Website.

So in other words.. not enough.  And that kind of virusing... yeeeah, get some rest.

I wouldn't telegraph too much more either if I were you... lol

But, to get back on topic:

They indeed did promise more Mass Effect, they're not done with the franchise (and DLC is not their endgame).

true true i should listen tho i did play my guitar for the first time since the accident that caused me to nearly lose my arm  was playing Saviour by black veil brides for  my 200th time lawl   but yes   i agree maybe they'll make improvements on future   games of Me  but i dont think ME would be around long due to the negativity this one got idk for sure  and i rather talk as much as my body wills me to do so  hahaha

Honestly, I think Bioware can bounce back.  Though I still personally won't be getting their next games at full price unless they fix this one.
