2. TAC Cannon (Crysis) (basically the Cain with infinitely more beautiful explosions)
3. Gauss Rifle (Crysis)
4. Gauss Cannon (Descent 2) (Technically, this is a ship mounted weapon, but it's still awesome)
5. Chronoscepter (Turok: Dinosaur Hunter)

-The Black Claymore Kronner mentioned.
-Maybe a 10-round clip rapid fire sniper rifle that fits between the gap of the Raptor and the new Viper.
-A Geth battle rifle.

Surely the spin fusor is pretty much covered by the Chakram Launcher and Scorpion Ordnance Pistol?lmxar wrote...

Spinfusor has a large splash radius, does (comparatively) more damage than exposives in ME3, has a slow reload time, and is more awesome. I mean it shoots explosive blue frisbees. Why WOULDN'T you want one?

Cerberus "Executor" AR
--------------------------------
Modified full-auto version of the Mattock with a 20-round clip. Has a much cleaner look to it, a white finish with yellow stripes and markings similar to other Cerberus weapons (i.e M-23 Hornet). This version sacrifices the standard Mattock's accuracy and stability for a higher rate of fire. Basically a lightweight alternative to the Revenant with a smaller magazine.
Geth Plasma Rifle
-------------------------
Modified version Geth Pulse Rifle with a 30-round clip; much higher damage than the standard Pulse Rifle, and disintigrates targets much like the Geth Spitfire. Appearence-wise, it has much more detailed textures and bluish-silver finish of the newer Geth weapons (i.e Geth Plasma Shotgun) as opposed to the uglier and outdated ME1 textures on the standard rifle.

Because it shoots explosive blue frisbees.
I don't want to sound like a traditonalist or anything, but one of the things that I liked about the ME arsenal throughout the series was that the guns were sci-fi but nonetheless plausible - even alien things like Particle Rifles and Plasma Shotguns functioned in a plausible manner.
Shooting explosive blue frisbees, shrink rays, Biorifle snots and whatever other weird and wonderful ordnance that's come out in FPS history just doesn't fit.

Oh, and maybe Din's Fire. That counts as a weapon, right?
Yeah, it counts.

its not that i want more weapons to choose from, its more like i want to pair up certain weapons together.
like taking the paladin, the scorpion, and the talon
but i cant, because i only have one pistol holster, or something like that.
To be fair, it wouldn't exactly be difficult to wield an arsenal that effectively gave you all three weapons - the Paladin shares many of its traits with semi-auto sniper rifles and the Saber, the Scorpion is largely equivalent to the Falcon in all but its ability to stick its rounds prior to exploding and the talon is little more than a shotty that fits in the pistol slot.
One thing that would be interesting, though, is to allow Shepard to trade in slots for other slots - say, being able to carry two assault rifles at the cost of no shotgun etc.
Let's not forget that the raptor is basically an assault rifle with a scope that fits in the sniper slot.
Now I can equip two assault rifles. I can't say no to that.

I think that's one of the good things about having a redundant arsenal and mods. But if they're going to spend resources making new guns, I'd rather the effort goes on actual new stuff rather than re-skins of existing stuff. What about a half life-style laser guided missile launcher? Stuff like that would add much more variety to the arsenal than re-skinned Mattocks and whatnot.

only if you exclude the whole weight system!
paladin, talon, and scorpion im thinking is ALOT lighter then saber, falcon, and disciple. thats the main reason in why id want those pistols.
i dont think there should be categories at all. just give me a bunch of weapons, and let me carry whatever the hell i want. even better would be allowing me to pick my classes abilities in the same exact way!

take your avenger and stick it up where the sun don't shine. why they chose avenger as the default assault rifle in ME2 and ME3, avenger was the worst AR in ME1 even Lancer AR was better and that's something!
omg how much I'd love to see cerberus soldiers equiped with Gorgon assault rifle

Give me a Spectre Assault rifle worth using.
The Saber should have been available from the Spectre terminal. Its the only N7 rated AR in MP so by all rights, it should have been treated the same way the BW, Paladin and Wraith were.

Yea this. I never understood why there are spectre versions of sniper rifle / shotgun / pistols.. but there aren't any for SMGS and Assault Rifles... what gives?

But I guess the full-auto mattock from Mass Effect: Infilitrator, or a souped up full-auto Vindicator (so basically the ME1 spectre AR) wouldn't be bad. Not much of a fan of the Saber. Can't the point in it, basically functions like a sniper rifle sans the default benefits of that class, and takes up a space I can equip a better AR in for rapid fire.

Charging it up for three seconds would give you a tactical cloak effect, but with a more mediocre damage boost and drains your ammo while you're in it.

The Point of View gun conveniently does precisely what its name
suggests. That is if you point it at someone and pull the trigger, they
instantly see things from your point of view. It was designed by Deep
Thought, but commissioned by a consortium of intergalactic angry
housewives, who after countless arguments with their husbands were sick
to the teeth of ending those arguments with the phrase "You just don't
get it, do you?"
"It won't affect me. I'm already a woman." -Trillian

A point of view gun would be nice. I'd follow it up by spinning around in a circle as fast as possible to make the enemies dizzy.
