I ran a female char, forced Alistar to marry Anora, but (drat it all) chose the wrong convo line and he sacrificed himself to kill the archdemon. The post scenes were very confusing tho.. After Anora announces that Alistar sacrificed himself, she spoke to me privately about Alistar's humor "Is he always like this?" and how interesting it'll make the marriage. The post scripts of the happenings in Fereldon mention Alistar's suprising grasp on ruling. Ummm... he DIED! Anyone else having interesting things like this happen?

Yep, the epilogue tends to be buggy. Lots have people have had strange inconsistencies. Rumor has it there's a new patch tomorrow, might get addressed in that.

Did ya'll get the 1.01a/b patch? I know X-box Live has special regulations for patches so PC games on Xbox sometimes build a few patches up and sell them in packs instead of giving them away for free, since MS charges the developer for using their bandwidth to distribute the patch...
...kind of a raw deal, I know. Just a heads up.

No, so far we are poor dejected, red-headed stepchildren who are also patchless. I check every day and sigh longingly, just waiting to play the game in the full-bugless glory it should be played in.

Would be nice to get it on the 360. Ah well. All in all I loved this game. Had me all misty eyed at one point and cussing at the screen at another. Very good at drawing a person into the story.

My interheart goes out to ya'll. FWIW, I'm sure you'll get the patches eventually. 1.02 should be out before Return to Ostagar, maybe Bioware will find some extra Christmas spirit and package the new patches with the DLC? Something to hope for...

That's not really the case. Patching things for the console version is a whole different barrel of genlocks. Blame Sony or Microsoft, it actually has nothing to do with Bioware.

If you tell Morrigan to leave during the first random encounter you have she'll leave, but when you enter Loithering she'll still have her banter with Allistair, she just won't be physically present. So I guess she killed herself in severe depression and came back to haunt Allistair and me as a ghost.

*sigh*
Look, it's much easier to patch stuff on PC, even just in terms of getting it out. That means that they can work on all the issues there, and work on porting a stable patch in a respectable state.
Patches have, in some games, been known to bring in new issues, sometimes worse. But, it's easier for us to roll back to a previous version in that event as well... Generally, things are a little rockier on the PC, but the exchange is that we can get fixes faster.

Some people don't have problems. I've only taken one character through the game all the way to the end, but his ending was bug-free. I have no idea if these issues will be addressed in the upcoming patch, but I'd imagine it's on their list of things to fix sooner than later.
