I have never used the shared ammo pick on a squad mate before. Since my Adept doesn't have an ammo choice I'm thinking of using that for the first time. If for some reason both of your squad mates had this, which one would take precedence? I'm guessing that you wouldn't get both.

I'm just guessing but...whatever ammo is lit on your weapon.

do you mean squad ammo type?

and the one that take precedence is the last one activated

What I meant is that for example, you can choose Garrus' AP ammo and 4b is squadmates will share your ammo power at 50% effectiveness. You have the same 4b choice with every squadmate ammo power. I do think that my question was answered.
