In The Witcher games I ended up giving a damn for Siegfried, Alvin, Shani, Foltest, Radovid, Henselt, Triss ( yes I do care for her in a way ), Letho,  Roche, Iorveth, Phillipa, Saskia, Zoltan, Dandelion and so many more. Hell I care for Aryan more then I care for ****ing TIM in the entirity of ME3.

I care more about my boys Grand Master Siegfried of Denesle, Vernon Roche and Iorveth than ANY Bioware character and I know CDPR won't butcher them to appease some zit faced emotionally fragile teens who want to be on a power trip like what happened with TIM and Udina.

I don't know what the big deal w/ this game is. It seems rather average, actually. I'd be inclined to play it if they released it on the PS3, which is something they'll probably end up doing to make more money on this game.

BASICALLY THE WRITING IS SUPERB AND THE COMBAT IS GOOD FOR AN ARPG.

The difference is CDprojekt is up and coming and independent right?[/quote]

Try to find a vid with the CEO of EA or Zenimax talking about their games, how they love playing games, and hate paid DLC and DRM and so forth. Thats who Martin Iwinski is. He's a gamer and joint CEO of CD Projekt. That's the difference. Their values as a gaming copmany are almost perfect right at the top level. Can't say that about John Riccitello and EA.

As for DA and TW arguments, I've seen enough of those around here..

He's also the owner of a company that's still small enough to desperately need to keep his customers. When he gets as big as EA and he's still saying stuff like that let me know.

Everyone is gung-ho for their customers when they need them.

Possible lesbians in the game: any woman who comes in contact with Phillipa Eilhart.

I'd question Cynthia's orientation, for all we know she was "gay for pay" so to speak.

Most dwarves are hilarious.

Fixed that for ya :P

The most heartbreaking thing about my last playthrough was seeing the dwarves of Vergen hanged due to my decisions.

They be drinking schnapps in heaven now. T.T

Untill such time, they do deserve the benefit of doubt do they not?

But isn't CD Projekt one of the bigger publishers of games in Eastern Europe? I don't think they're some tiny company...

They are - in fact they distributed ME1 for PC in Eastern Europe, the most of their distribution buisiness being Eastern Europe and Russia.

And let's not forget the revenue from GOG.com.

Big or small, they were fairly unknown until they made such a great series with The Witcher.

Corrected.

If they were indeed responsible for the distribution of ME1 in Eastern Europe, I express strong doubts toward their not being well known there.

CDProjekt Red is the studio that made the game which is owned by CDProjekt which I believe is owned by a larger company.

Actually, due to some good ol' corporate restructuring, CDProjekt is now a subsidiary of CDProjekt Red.

The Witcher released a month before Mass Effect.

That's a good point! CDPR design their characters to appeal to the acne-stricken and overly hormonal demographic from the get-go. That's what I call thinking ahead!

Come to think of it TW2 doesn't have politicians acting like clueless morons in the intro or have Geralt being told he's an amazing leader despite never showing such leadership in order to stroke the player's ego either. A true game for adults for sure.

I don't care why he says it.  Only that he does.

If you are not about your customers anymore, and not about the love of the games, then get the hell out.
