Hmmm.... i wonder what's REALLY going on behind all this 'marketing speak'. Bioware already burning out on post-launch support options?  Running out of ideas?  Too much trouble deploying the rewards?   makes me wonder.

I guess this weekend will be a good weekend then to finish up 1p.

Boo was looking forward to ths weekend, couldnt you just alternate between an xp weekend and a proper event weekend.

I'm not suprised that we're getting more and more punished each weekend thanks to these [censored] players who have to [censored] with everything to give themselves some form of enjoyment in this game.  First it was 2 weekes ago, then the joke that was last week.  Now I have to wait every other weekend to get an upgrade to the Eagle which sits in the useless pile of guns?  Super.

I can get why they wouldn't want to do "free bonus packs" stuff every weekend, since those seem to be a hassle to distribute for some reason, but it would be nice if they at least had "combat bonus weekends" on the off weekends, offering +XP generation or even better +credit generation.

I would also hope that if they move to bi-weekly events then each should have double the reward from what we've been getting.

See those 3 circles at the bottom of Operation's splash screen, under the letter R? They look like GPS's barrels.
Community goal: Score 5 million kills with GPS
Personal goal: Win a gold game shooting only fully charged GPS shots.

Probably not - We'll get the same bad packs and still get the disappointment guns we wish were something else, making us less inclined to overachieve for the Victory Packs whick are pretty much 1 free Equipment Pack.

I'm not raging, I'm just saying that these weekend incentives are pretty weak in comparison to anything I have already.

I thought the 2nd and 4th weekends were just Xp events (unless I'm wrong?), so this really isn't changing much.

Won't be.  Not everyone will have GPS.  Most likely Phantoms since Exorcist.  Or possibly All Firebase Ghost all the time.

I have most guns maxed out at this point, after playing the Multiplayer component extensively.

That and the Guild Wars 2 weekend beta event the same weekend, means I won't be going out of my way to fulfill any requirements this time around.

Still, it's nice that Bioware is putting a little more effort into making each event better at the cost of quantity. I still enjoy Multiplayer.

Will be interesting to see what you come up with and how you will improve upon the current formula for events.

Due to someone at EA or Sony wanting more money we are unable to offer Community Weekend events to our PlayStation 3 users.  We apologize for this inconvenience(but not enough to do something about it) and we will continue to work with Sony to our weekend Operations to the community in the event that someone caves.

Well, Sony finally put out a statement acknowledging the kerfuffle so hopefully that means they'll give a little ground and we can all be one big happy family by the time the next op rolls around.
