You should do bonus credit weeks, then. Or map weeks.

in other words, somebody realized that they are gonna run out of ideas mighty quick if they do it every week, so we gotta spread the seeds a little better.

well okay.

TBH one event every 2 weeks was already the case before. Look back at the past events: one operation, then one weekend offering nothing but an XP boost, one operation, then one weekend offering nothing but an XP boost, etc.

You can't really consider these bonus XP weekend as an event compared to those with an objective and a reward for achieving it.

If you're going to space them out more, you might want to consider giving more than one weapon in reward (perhaps make it tiered so there's an advanced objective that gives yet another pack). As it stands the N7 rewards aren't working too well - personally I have two level 1 N7 weapons that are absolutely worthless to me (hurricane and wraith).

In a couple months, maybe even another month, I won't be playing this game, because I have a lot of other things in my pile. Resurgence was neat, but looking forward, I'm not seeing anything that's going to hold my interest. These challenges aren't really challenging, or adding anything to the gameplay, and the rewards simply aren't worth it over the standard built in equipment.

I can see this as nothing but a good thing honestly. I thought it was pretty clear that Beachhead was supposed to be something more than what it turned out to be, but technical issues held it back. Same with Resurgence. I like the idea of every other week, and hopefully they can make it special.

To the PS3 users yelling out conspiracy and blaming Bioware for all the issues, saying they are purposely excluding you... do you really think a company would purposely exclude what in theory could be a third of their users on purpose? I'm pretty sure they didn't anticipate the length of time it would take for these problems to be resolved. Bioware will want to get a foothold into the MP community before other games come out that will draw attention and users away from it. This issue does nothing to ensure that happens. Look elsewhere for your conspiracy. I feel for you. But just think about it logically.

Bioware are you seeing all this? Why not communicate more with the fans? This is really sad. PS3 users are just left out in the cold. Maybe if you keep up with the communication there wouldn't be so much outrage. Do the right thing and let us know what's going on behind the scenes. It would definitely ease a lot of the tension in many forums.

problem with this is that.

A). if they are trying to come to an agreement with Sony, public calling them out is going to hamper that process, even if it is the truth that they are calling out. Sony are (hopefully) going to be more flexible if Bioware are nice to them. At least this is the theory but then again it's Sony so expect nothing and never be disappointed.

B). There could be legal or commercial ramifications to Bioware calling Sony out on it's rubbish. Bioware might be under some form of an NDA for all business proceedings with Sony, or maybe they just don't want to ****** them off in case it comes back to bite them later. It's perfectly reasonable for them to want to keep Sony on at least speaking terms rather than pissing off an entire company that makes one of the major 2 house hold gaming consoles.

C). It might just be good manners, from a business perspective you don't want to look like a snitch on the global scale. Sony are like the bully in the playground, everyone knows they push around the other kids, but no one wants to lower themselves to Sony's level. Even Microsoft the other big kid who's always hanging around under the monkey bars doesn't want to directly fight Sony, they just want to make sure Sony knows that he won't get any lunch money out of them.

A-  Wrong, exposure makes them look bad, and a company wants to preserve its image.  You are speculating.  Let's see what happens.  I'll just say my told-you-so in advance.

B- If the rubbish they're calling them on is true, there are no ramifications unless they have a nondisclousre agreement, which they would not have.

C-Actually you don't look like a "snitch" and nobody is going to think Bioware is not a good company to work with/for.  Money talks, ME3 made a ****load of money and so Sony will eventually get their **** together.

Man are you like 15 or do you just not understand the legal process?

Armchair legal advice really does not suit you.

So if they start doing ops again next weekend and then do them every 2 weeks after that, then the dates for the rest of the year's ops turn out to be (assuming ops start on Friday and run through Sunday night):

April 27-29
May 11-13 (Mother's Day)
May 25-27 (Memorial Day weekend)
June 8-10
June 22-24
July 6-8
July 20-22
August 3-5
August 17-19
August 31-Sept 2 (Labor Day weekend)
Sept 14-16
Sept 28-30
Oct 12-14
Oct 26-28
Nov 9-11
Nov 23-25 (Thanksgiving weekend)
Dec 7-9
Dec 21-23 (Christmas weekend)

That's not a bad job of hitting most of the US' holiday/vacation weekends.

I played multiplayer before even coming close to completing the campaign. My level 3 infiltrators first response to seeing a banshee was cloak and hide... It worked out poorly... :(
My tactic has now improved to cloak and run with arms flailing.

I'd be much happier with biweekly challenges that are more in-depth, interesting and with more incentives than weekly challenges alternating between a bounty and reward weekend.

i hope when they say changing some stuff up that they mean they're going to goddam include the PS3 players... its been quite a few weeks now and they still haven't worked out a "deal" this is just plain insulting on our intelligence... and on our patience...

A. The bad exposure for Sony would die down 10x faster than it will for Bioware, so playing nice for a little bit was the smart move. They kindly pointed fingure last weekend. Ever notice how Bioware won't shut down a thread talking about these issues, but Sony will lock it down and delete the thread?

B. No major Companies do business without a NDA.

C. You can't point fingues in business without giving someone some time to fix their issue, if you don't people will simply stop working with you.

When it says an update is coming this weekend, that wouldn't mean a bug patch, would it? Because I'd trade 3 N7 Bounty weekends for 1 bug patch.

Bug patch + patch that makes 'A' not the one button for cover/interaction and makes cover less sticky. These things ****** me off so much sometimes. Also, it'd be nice if the Asari Justicar biotic bubble didn't have a chance of failing to cast when you're in a hurry.

That's remarkably good timing. This weekend is Diablo 3 open beta. Maybe the devs are taking some "sick leave" ;)

Will player rewards perhaps be a bit more significant for each operation now since they'll only be happening every couple of weeks? For example, will we be getting more than just a single random N7 weapon?

Honestly, Phantoms would make more sense. After all, it's Operation Exorcist. :)

That's what I've been trying to figure out posting in other forums too. I haven't heard a word from Bioware either
