They want us to burn up our equipment killing banshees, which is already low for most hardcore player since no equipment packs. In return we get ONE weapon upgrade. Guess if I spend MSP I can get some of my equimpent back......

Anyone else seeing a pattern emerge here?

Burn up what, your ammo?

Of course they cut down the number of N7 weekends before Sony opens up to them....

We need a way to keep track of objectives in an operation!
For eg. With the brute killing task - have a stat screen to show how many have been killed to date, and how much you have contributed to!
Further more, general stats would be good too (Ave. points per game, win %, total kills of different enemies etc).

I also like the idea of quality over quantity in the N7 operations. That said; I hope the award packs as well as the operation specials are better and/or bigger.

While I am disappointed there is no N7 Op this weekend, I can't see it stopping me from playing. That being said, I have heard many good suggestions for Ops, from a bonus cash weekend (we've had enough XP for now), gold op challenges and "kill the x" challenges. Why not have a weekend where extraction goes to 5 minutes and waves become endless? Why not release a "platinum" difficulty mode in a DLC pack and have a weekend for it? An "Endless" difficulty setting where you go until everyone is down and a weekend for it? These would be minor code changes, I would think.

Given that pile of suggestions I can't see how they can't come up with one a week, but once a fortnight is better than none. I'm sure Bioware points sales are dropping off, so they'll be thinking of ways to extract more blood from the stone, soon enough, I'm sure.

Why only limit too weekend operations, why not have a whole week operation...

In a few weeks it'll be one every month, then none at all. The rush is over. Scaling down this sort of thing was bound to happen - it takes resources and time which are likely better spent elsewhere.

Thanks , Bioware; for what was essentially a multiplayer beta, it's been a lot of fun.

Another operation/ game mode suggestion: "Operation Guardian" - at the beginning of the match one of the four players is randomly chosen as the VIP, the game end the moment VIP dies, Gold success award : Guardian Angel Pack - special Guardian character customization unlock + special Guardian weapon + 5 random characters or items etc~ ;)

Right, because if there's no operation every weekend there's no point in getting out of bed?

More like: There isn't a point in logging into the game anymore. If they start to be bi-weekly now i am probably as good as gone. Hope i'll remember it next weekend, but most likely won't.

Love the N7 operations but would really, really, really, .....love to have a war zone mode - you know twenty n7 players against waves and waves of bad guys - hugey popular and successful in other MP games...

Damn! This weekend I have to stay at home and I will have plenty of time to meet the requirements for my first commendation pack, while next weekend I will travel and won't be able to play.

+1
Would be much better than boring old horde mode. Was so dissapointed when I realised that is what they meant by multiplayer :(

This weekend, April 20-22, we will not be hosting an N7 Operation.  Moving forward we will be offering our N7 Operations every other weekend.  We realize that we have thousands of N7 operators, and this new cadence will allow us to create and execute the best possible Operations for the community.

In the meantime, stay tuned for some cool upcoming features on www.MassEffect.com, and blog.bioware.com.  This weekend we bring an update from the war front, the latest from the Alliance News Network.

Make sure you prepare your multiplayer squad because next weekend, April 27-29, is Operation Exorcist.  The Alliance needs the best, we will show the enemy no mercy.

TY for the heads up!  These operations are a lot of fun, and sometimes I miss some weekends when real life gets in the way.  As long as my timing is right, then I feel like there is no harm, no foul.  :)

Can't honestly say I'm bothered... I only play MP when I need to up my EMS in SP for the *cough*"best"*cough* ending - since you can't do it "conventionally".

TBH I'd rather you be fixing all the glitches than doing this kind of stuff, but anyway...

i've hit level 20 on everyone and dont plan to promote anymore characters since i've already done it once, some more varried operations would be way cooler!

Considering that half of the Operation weekends so far have just been "25% increased XP" with no Victory/Commendation Packs given out, I don't think we're missing much by the scale-back. Besides, it'll give me more time to focus on my single player games. ;)

Given the name, I suspect the next Operation involves killing Banshees or possibly Phantoms. My money's on the former.

Because of how well we managed Goliath with the Brutes, i'd say we would have to kill around 2.5 or 3 million Banshees in the span of two/three days.

As long as we don't have anymore XP bonus weekends, i'm all good for this.

So... how about using this downtime to actually include PS3 users for once? We're sick of getting sidelined because you guys couldn't come to an agreement with Sony before the game was released
