With a Krogan or Batarian, I will melee a banshee if it is grabbing one of my teammates. Phantoms and banshees should not be melee'd unless you have no other choice.
On topic, maybe we could fight a Harvestor?
Nah... they're not in the MP, bro.
And on bronze, meleeing phantoms with Krogan and Banshees at the LAST POSSIBLE second is FUN!
A bronze heavy melee on a phantom is the easiest way to kill it...krogan rage + blade, or batarian blade armor + blade = phantom killed from full health...love'n it!
It's easier for an adept. Stasis + headshot = Head pops like exploding fruit.
EDIT (Yajuu Omoi): Asari Adept**
Okay, true. so its not the EASIEST way to kill it,..
but the point being, on bronze, you don't need to wait to melee a phantom...you just need to know what your characters strenghts are, Krogans and batatians have very effective melees when on bronze.
The Asair Adept has an area of effect melee which works well on Phantoms. With that class, I don't worry about them at all. They are easily dealt with. You just can't lose situational awareness or they'll sneak up on you.
But an asari's melee can't one-hit kill a Phantom...
Geth inf. is an outstanding melee character, if spec'd for it. (in terms of dmg) downside, you have to learn how to dodge bullets since geth heavy melee depletes shields (geth also have barely any health). You can counter this by brining one heavy pistol into battle (with melee mod) to help with you cooldowns. now you can pretty much spam TC whenever you may need it. The one pistol should be a powerful one so that you can still damage from a distance, if needed. (or provied yourself cover fire until TC recharges) Hunter mode highlits all targest in red, even behind walls/cover/smoke/etc. so you always know what you are getting into (HM also gives you a bunch of dmg bonuses is spec'd correctly)
bronz/silver runs are cake with the build. kill pretty much everything around me with one heavy melee. Gold is challenging still, but once you learn how to get out of tight situations, its not much different. if you are the one carrying your team, this is not the build for you. one shot from ANY enemy without your shields will most likely take you out.
this build works best with other infs on your squad and possibly one engineer to draw fire with AD/decoy/turret
