I am currently in the middle of Mass Effect: Retribution...

So, out of curiousity I looked up the ME: Deception, and have seen horrid reviews.

I love the series so far, and am majorly disappointed that there is a new author. But besides that, should I even buy this book? Also, I saw that there is a new revised version that is suppose to come out. Is it out already? Should I wait until then?
