If I thought it was rubbish, I would have advised Bioware to permanently abandon multiplayer. Such is not the case.
Multiplayer needs:
- New patches: To fix bugs, glitches and crashes
- EA Servers: Whether it's Mass Effect 3 or Battlefield 3, the EA Servers must remain connected for the enterity of the match. Don't tell me that we don't earn even one experience point and one
- New game modes (aside form 11 waves of hell which is fun by the way).
- New maps. 8 maps just isn't enough. Even Goldeneye for the N64 had more than 8 maps. You have Sur'Kesh, Eden Prime, Palaven (which we never visited in single player), Earth, Thessia, Omega, the Citadel, Rannoch, Haestrum, Ilos, Virmire, Feros, Therum, Kar Shan etc.
- A better match making system. There are days when I can't get a single person to join me in a game. I had to solo a few matches because of this.
- Replace random packs with a traditional store, where we purchasse individual items. I know this isn't going to happen with this game. But in future no more random packs. They make it more frustrating. 90% of random packs don't feel rewarding at all.
Multiplayer doesn't need, but I'd personally like to see:
I don't think multiplayer needs any of the following. But nevertheless, they would be great additions.
- A co-operative campaign. An actuall story for the N7 Special Forces. Heck even Halo did one for their special forces.
- Integration of splitscreen and online multiplayer
- Player versus player, team versus team
- Opposite sex versions of the alien classes (except asari and geth due to lore reasons) You know how humans can play either male or female and both genders have the same powers allowing for two different specs of the same class. I'd welcome this.
- Heavy weapon variety. You brought us, many smg's, pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles and assault rifles. I suppose this might involve balancing issues, so probably best left ignored.
- Piloting vehicles: Mako, Hammerhead, Different space ships. That would be fantastic as long as you can pull it off.
- Being able to play as Cerberus, Geth, Reapers just for fun. I don't care if this has no affect on the Galactic Readiness. Just for fun. I doesn't have to follow the plot. Not everything online has to be plot relevant.
- Make the collectors a faction. I want to fight Praetorians, and watch Harbinger "assume control" once in a while. Besides the Collectors had much larger mobs of husks, scions and abominations than the Reaper faction in ME 3.

This is a tense situation. If I fail I have to start again
It' gets harder on each difficulty.
Each terminal has a different hacking minigame.
These involve a code made up of 8 code fragments.
Add the eight code fragments to make up the code leaving out the wrong fragments.
Or matching curcuit symbols to bypass the curcuit.
Or the ME 1 style hacking mini game.
Basically you need at least one guy who is amazing at hacking consoles and bring them to every match.
Also the defend the area bit. One guy hacks the console and the other three have to be in the area. If one of the other three leave the area once the hack has been initiated, the hack attempt is reset. This could make it tricky.

There is a set time limit. The player must also not make a single mistake.
One mistake causes the bomb to explode and game over.
Failure to difuse the bomb game over.
Furthermore, if the enemy shoots at the person diffusing the bomb, the diffusal attempt will fail and game over.
So the other three players must distract the enemy.
Bomb diffusal will only be in Gold since it would be so tricky to do.

It wouldn't be possible to solo gold as a result.
At the moment it's doable but very tricky.
But with this objective, is literally impossible on your own, since the enemy will disurpt the hack, even if you have tactical cloak on.

They could have normal batairan soliders, engineers, and sentinels, and than move up the ranks to include special intervention units weilding AT-12 raider shotguns which would be included in the pack they come in, and probably a harvester as a heavy boss, like the atlas or banshee.
