Here it is. If you promote a class, in addition to what that already does, you are given the option of unlocking one weapon or upgrading a weapon by one stage; it can be any weapon (excluding Promo Weapons), but with the one requirement that you have at least 2 weapons of the same rarity first (so, you couldn't unlock/upgrade a UR unless you already had 2 URs, or 1 UR at level II).
This would make the system less frustrating for people trying to get the weapons they want, but wouldn't break the store system, and would still be slow enough that BW/EA could still profit from people paying money for packs; plus it gives people another reason to promote.

I've read through some of the DLC ideas, and there are definitely some reoccurring ones I'd also like to see.
Collectors faction
Armor customization
New characters/genders of existing characters
New maps
New factions in general
But, above all else... NEW GAME MODES.

Firebase: Nightlife (Afterlife)
I very much like this idea and have posted this on other forums, I think it would be amazing to have a battle in a Nightclub, with the music going and strobe lights flickering.

Amazing ideas aside,
Is a "prothean clone" or "prothean battle VI" too far of a stretch of the imagination for multiplayer?

Also, I like the idea of boss enemies, and really some of them wouldn't be too hard to implement. For instance, outdoor levels you could use a Mantis Gunship (ME2 common level boss) for Cerberus, a Colossus for the Geth, and either a Harvester or Praetorian for the Reapers. Bosses for the indoor maps I haven't thought up yet, but I'm kind of thinking something like Saren's final form in ME1 for the Reapers.
Some people on the thread have also talked about being able to play as the Reapers, why not take it a step further and make something similar to Beast Mode where you get to play as enemy mobs that can infinitely re-spawn, but have a time limit to complete their objectives (IE, wipe out all enemies, sabotage enemy defense systems, assassinate enemy commander, recapture and activate artifact, etc). The better you do completing every objective in the mission the more "credits" you earn to unlocking better classes for use in that mission (All Geth start off only being able to purchase troopers at the start of a mission, but they can eventually save up to purchase Primes for use in later waves). And, you'll earn points you can use to customize your different unit classes that will be pooled between all factions and can be used on any unit class you want. The system will use an upgrade system similar to ME2's research projects, except every 3rd upgrade, you get a choice on which upgrade path you want to pursue, and there is a limit to how many research projects you can sink into each unit class, so you can spend research to make it so your husks explode in a massive fireball when they die, or you can save it up to afford biotic barriers for your brutes.
The last thing I would like to see is a system where you can put in ultra-rare permanent weapon and armor modifications. Or at least equipment mods that can last for more than one mission.

Assuming the two new Quarians will be male (and honestly why wouldn't they be), I'll be pretty upset if they're not voiced by Adam Baldwin. But then, what other male Quarian voice could they use anyway?Lord_Frostwind wrote...
Wow, lots of good character ideas on this thread. I approve of the Quarian Soldier idea, so long as it is voiced by Adam Baldwin, I miss Kal'Reegar.

Characters:
Female Turians, can be the same classes as regular Turians or not.
Black Ops Turians, similar to STG or N7, the best of the best of the Turian Military, maybe have them covered in heavy armor, grenades and ammo.
Miscleanious Mercenary classes for all races.
Maybe a Batarian Engineer.
Weapons: Another automatic Assaylt Rifle, maybe an Asari or Salarian one, or a damage dealing Turian one, or a lightweight Asari/Salarian Sniper Rifle.
Enemies:
Reaper Cults: Like the mercs from ME2, but indoctrinated, and actively using Reaper Tech.
Wildlife: Stuff like the tough Krogan animals, like Varren, Klixen, and Harvesters, or even Thresher Maws (not sure how that last one would work though.)
General Changes:
More Heavy Weapons, an ability to swap out Heavy Weapons from the generic missile launcher, can be bought in reinforcement packs.
Show character names in combat

Retake Omega (single player)
Hmm... a Retake Omega [RO] MP map with scenario objectives. RO is more of a guarantee for the SP, but a MP version would be nice. Could also take place at the "same time" when Shep is trying to retake it; just that the N7 squad is in a different location on Omega.
Could have it where Aria is on the comm telling the squad what they need to do. ex: "Damn Cerberus have us pin down! We need you to open the damn door!" At that part it could be a "stay in the circle" to unlock the door for them.
On a different note, would love to see different customizations for the armor or at lease the options to change the look of it.

I'd love for BW to add a more in-depth customization system for MP. Changing your characters armor, as well as skin tone options that are actually noticeable.
Would be nice if BW at lease had a tab that allowed the user to set what type of marking (and color) to put of their character. some examples:
Turian face marking
Human helmet decals (thinking about a skull or something to that nature)
Quarian swriling tribal decals on the suits (don't know why, i think it fit their culture)
Geth battle damage
Krogan war paint (for face and armor)
Asari face marking (instead of just the two)
Drell... can't think of anything

Characters i want to play: Phantom - acrobatic movement, gun in the palm, and sword
Asari comandos - little biotic, and big guns.
And a volus - just for joke.
I think could be a good idea a new weapon slot, for close combat. Swords, axes, chainsaws. I bet the vaungards like it.
And why a missile launcher is the only heavy weapon? Sometimes i'd carry a geth spitfire, a flamethower, a cain (
I can imagine for a new type of enemy the indoctrinated teams. Humans, turians, asari, elcor (with big guns on their backs), etc.

How about the ability to bring more than 4 people into a match? Like say 6 or 8?
It would probably need to be reserved for higher difficulties, maybe for gold (this would probably make silver too easy, so 4 player team limit should still apply) you could bring 6 players and for (the proposed) platinum difficulty you could bring 8 in to help offset the increased difficulty? I just think adding more players to your team would really increase the need for coordination, communication, and battle planning/strategy, which I think is fun.
Credit rewards would need to be the same imo, and this might help ease up on some of the requests for more credit rewards as match times would be faster. I think this might also help the tank classes have more use as you could have 2 infiltrators for damage, 2 engi's for tech bursts (or adepts for biotic explosions), and then 2 tanks like sentinel soldier to help absorb some damage. And with an 8 person team, you could have 4 soldiers running around drawing agg away from the rest, or you could have epic explosions with 4 players creating tech bursts (or biotic explosions) all over the place!!
Thoughts?

This!!
Kai Leng has a sword, how about a skill tree for a new drell infiltrator (would probably need TC to sneak up on enemies like the Phantom does) that has TC, melee buff tree, grenades of some kind (arc grenade would be sweet), and then the drell passives.

Characters:
Turian Adept/Vanguard - Saren used Biotics if I'm not mistaken so I'm guessing others Turians can unless that was his "thing"
Asari Justicar Vanguard - We've had the Justicar Adept, why not Vanguard, with different battle armor, perhaps a helmet, powers such as biotic charge, warp and cluster grenades.
Salarian STG - Soldier class
Drell Sentinal - I made a post about this in another thread, basically as a Sentinal they still have their biotics but their TA could be replaced by a shadow cloak which darkens the character and when in this state they become unseen but as long as they fire a weapon or move the shadow cloak ends, this would be great for those mission objectives when you have to hold a certain area or when sneak attacking an enemy that walks past you, but staying still too long could get you kicked from the game which is a downside.
Krogan Engineer - Remember the combustion manifold guy.
Geth Destroyer - I'm sure these were in Mass Effect 1 & 2, they look like Geth Primes but smaller, this could be the Geth soldier class and have a heavy melee similar to Krogans.
Hanhar - with the recent addition of the phoenix adept/vanguard lash and smash abilites, could this make hanhar playable?
Ex-Cerberus Female Phantom/Infiltrator build - the current Phoenix classes are both Human Males so what about Females, perhaps use an early version of the Phantom class with tactical cloak and barrier, they could also use the same movement animations as the drell.
Levels:
Earth - with final mission objective being to take out a Reaper Destroyer similar to how Shepard does on Rannoch.
Geth Base
Firebase Dark - Similar setting to the Asari monastry were we need flashlights to get around, just imagine fighting Reaper enemies in that environment, a Banshee leaps out of the dark at you, hearing it but not being able to see it.
Weapons:
Plutonium Rounds weapon upgrade - I miss watching my enemies disintegrate into a gree cloud.

An assault rifle that fires darts, and when you put enough darts into a target they create a tech burst. It would have to be a carbine, kinda like the saber is, and each shot would do little damage, but when you have enough darts in a single target you would get a large amount of damage in a 2-3 meter range.
assault rifle that fire electrifying darts with a high rat of fire and and if enemies are a close proximity to the target they'll be electrocuted as weel

Frankly, I hate promoting. The level-up system should be entirely different. Players' N7 rankings should be based on how much they have played and on the weapons/equipment/characters that they have collected in multiplayer.
In addition, there should be a store setup entirely different than the current one. Players should be able to choose whether or not they wish to save, for example, 250,000 credits to buy a Black Widow, or just gamble on a Premium Spectre Pack and hope they unlock the same weapon for just 99,000 credits.
However, since BioWare will not listen to us...
