I know the IT by heart, I've respected it, tough I was always sceptical... Not because it sucks, but like I said above, the theory (it is still a theory isn't it?) would have been fun/interesting, if and only if: it's revealed, as the player is still at the apex of tension, otherwise it fails...

Why would have Bioware waited so long before confirming or dismissing the IT and risking such a backlash ?

It would be as if in "The Usual Suspects", we see K. Spacey/ Keyser Söze getting out of the police station, still limping, and then would get a black screen with the credits... Later we learn by rumors and without seeing it, that he actually walks like you and me and he's the bad guy... And Bryan Singer refuses to confirm or dismiss this rumor... Doesn't make sense...

One more point: The Prothean VI. I know a lot of things have been said about (non reliability, Shep was just on the beginn of the Indoctrination Process and so on...), not convincing me tough...
Further more the VI on Thessia said something about the cycles, supposing that the Reapers themselves were not the mastermind in this story and eventually controlled by a superior power, which could be a hint or an introduction to the Starbrat...

I dont know...Shepard speaking through the catalyst's own voice is REALLY big evidence!

Or laziness from Bioware ? Like the magical gun ? Don't forget, they ran out of time... And for the last pics, I agree Shep is probably on Earth, it looks like concrete (I'm architect)... But it doesn't prove anything. They can say to us : "Hey you know what, Shep survived the explosion of the Crucible, made a dash to the beam and saved his ass..." Or something like that...
Why not ? They've come with the story of the most powerful brat in the galaxy, who's toying with the Reapers...

Your not even trying now. Your just making wild guesses now. The ...FACT....is, is that it is Shepards voice in the catalyst's voice...This is not for no reason at all.

The Catalyst's simply made itself in a way that Shepard could comprehend.

I can't believe I'm supporting the God Child..

How do you know that it made itself in a way the shepard could comperhend? Because the game DID NOT TELL US!
Did you forget that shepard is dreaming often in the game? Its ALWAYS about that kid...and look who it is...the same kid for some unknown reason talking about things that dont add up and I can hear my voice in his!

Just like with Earth, Bioware tried to force us to feel something about nothing. You can also hear the voices of everyone you lost over the course of the games.

The bold makes all of this null.

No you are just guessing. Iam going off of what IS actually there. Also did you not  know that you can hear Shepard's voice wispering in the background of the catalyst's own voice? Shepard is repeating EVERYTHING that the catalyst is saying the moment he says them.

@Bold, like what?

You're just guessing that Shepard's "voice" actually means something. The game didn't tell us that it meant anything.

I'll say again, Catalyst made itself in a way that Shepard could comprehend.

Let's just say for argument's sake that's London rubble.  You just admitted that there are no buildings around Shepard when running for the beam, so how does he/she end up in that picture?  That's my whole point of why the IT doesn't make sense in this aspect.  That picture does not jive in any way to where you are when you get hit by the beam.

You would have had to have been standing in a building to end up like Shepard is in that picture.

What's the bigger plothole?  No buildings or Shepard's squad leaving him behind?   Where are they?  I don't see them anywhere on the ground after Shepard gets hit by the beam.   It would never happen.

One is no better than the other IMHO.  Don't give me an ending with gaping plot holes, say you're going to clarify it and then give me a new ending with new plotholes.  What would be the point.

Actually they are on the ground next to you when you "wake up" to head for the beam...there dead!

Really?  That's odd.  I don't remember seeing them.  I'll have to do another playthrough.  This happens in every ending?  Are they laying there in a pool of blood?

The point would be far less plotholes.  It's better than having more plotholes.  And there is no game or story out there on the market that has no plotholes anyway.  They are unavoidable.

The whole ending was lazily done. Why would Bioware put in the extra work to make another model of rubble?

Though, in the beginning of the scene, there is a big, curved, fancy..and oddly clean and intact piece of...something.

And that rebar/tube/pipe that looks like the tubes you blew up.

To you it is lazily done because your not seeing why they are calling it "Artistic integrity" by not understanding that the ending does not make any sense for a reason.

That addly curved part in the scene is not anywhere on the part of the citadel you were on...go and look!

There is a possibility to find your squademates dead... It occurs when your EMS are... too low. This could explain why no one appears after the crash of the Normandy (when your EMS are too low too)

And how do you know it was there on Earth? Looks like Citadel metal to me. The explosion wasn't even instant, Shepard could have moved away, the whole area falling apart, well, that should be obvious.

But wait, that's more speculation for the speculation.

That would be fine if this were the first crack at it.  But this is supposed to be clarification not more questions.  OK it's the IT.  How did Shepard get buried in slabs on concrete in the middle of an open hill?  How come the beam just didn't kill Shepard outright like it did Garrus and Liara in the deleted scene?  How come two different VIs couldn't detect indocrtrination, when one spotted Kai Leng 100 yards off?  Why is there only one choice when your war assets are low, isn't the premise built on three choices?

And the real life million dollar question, is even Bioware crazy enough to sell the final game of a trilogy with at best a fake ending, and at worst no ending at all.

If this IT stuff isn't true and Bioware is telling us to keep our saves, then there would be no point in doing so. Why would we keep our saves if Shepard dies in 2 out the of the three endings? Why keep our saves if there is no further gameplay? I've said it many times and I will say it again: they did not debunk the IT nor did they debunk further gameplay.

Because PR.

"Artistic Integrity" is the biggest bullsh*** I've ever heard. It means you don't hae the right to criticize anything. I'm architect and I know the story. I've tried this style of defense as I was a student. It doesn't lead you anywhere. A writer, a director or scenarist do change the ending when it doesn't please, before the book/movie/game/project is released. By no means, if they had this so called "artistic integrity" they would have released ths ending...

www.youtube.com/watch

Sounds like wind to me. It fluxuates in pitch and tone, as wind does when it's howling through openings.

Of course, the arguement is likely to stay static- Those who believe the endings are real "The devs got lazy and just added random sfx." Those who believe in the IT "Another sign! Shepard's on Earth still!"

It's the same basic arguement- To throw the Devs a bone or not to throw the Devs a bone? That is the question.

Excuse me? Are you trying to insult my intelligence? I don't understand a rushed game and badly written ending? Are you actually sitting there, claiming that all this speculation and theorizing is true?

And how do you know it was there on Earth? Looks like Citadel metal to me. The explosion wasn't even instant, Shepard could have moved away, the whole area falling apart, well, that should be obvious.

But wait, that's more speculation for the speculation.

No Iam not trying to insult you and Iam sorry if it seems that way. Its not speculation....The catalyst's voice is shepard! Your speculating off of speculations not me. Iam speculating off of facts that ARE there and can be proven.

The Catalyst's voice is a little boy's voice.

It's an audio effect, an echo. Shepard has it when he/she talks as well.

Also, stop type yelling.
