It would work, if Shepard didn't commit genocide. Just sayin'

Honestly though, I think EA will dry up this series quickly, it'll probably turn into a yearly thing (I hope not, but you never know these days.)

Sure BioWare wants it to continue but why would anyone buy that game? Repeatedly sticking your hand in a bear trap will rarely give a different result.

To be honest MMO's are a huge commitment, so it's more like, "that bear trap sure hurt my hand, I wonder what would happen if I stuck my dick in it..."

Ugh... the thought Bioware just becomes another brand under the uberumbrella that is EA. How long before it gets 'dismantled and reorginaised into "EA Edmonton" or some random studio called Victory that gets another popular at the time brand slapped onto it (yeah I went there!).

Reminds me of that rEAPer trophy gif joke. EA has been doing this decades and Bioware is not the first nor the last, nor is it immune to this treatment.

The next thing is an MMO?? really? If the crap ending was just to entice people into playing an MMO, I think I'll cry.

why not, blizzard did it with Warcraft 3's Frozen throne expansion that left enough questions open to milk people for 5+ years.

now their doing it with starcraft and dare I say diablo 3.

Hudson sold the fans out, as did the rest of BioWare, it's more then obvious.

Selling us out would suggest a degree of planning and forethought on their part that the endings do not display.

He is too busy shopping for a new $150,000 car.

I think he drives an Audi TT.  He mentioned it on Twitter a year ago.

$56,000 car with $96,000 worth of ME sales money as a seat cushion....so he can rub his ass all over our money whenever he drives...

This is pretty much my exact reaction every time I read some pre-release comment about Mass Effect 3

After playing "Dreamfall", the long-awaited sequel to my most-beloved adventure game of all time, "The Longest Journey", and finding that Dreamfall didn't have an ending but a bunch of giant, confusing cliffhangers, I bravely thought, "well, Ragnar Tornquist (the game designer, whom I practically revered) will resolve this with the (presumed) third game...I'll wait."
Six years go by, and NO explanation or resolution.
Why?
Because he is working on a totally unrelated MMO.

:pinched:

That's why This Hurts Me, Casey Hudson...

Further evidence that the ending was a last-minute swap-out for something "artistic" rather than an ending that fits Mass Effect.

It just pisses me off to think about at this point. It truly, truly does. I just don't understand why they needed something like that.

Leave your art in games that use it well, and whose whole point is delivering an "artistic" experience. "Dear Esther" is a great example. Beautiful game. Mass Effect was never about -

Eh, screw it. I don't want to get into this, just makes me go on an angry rant.

I want to hug you.

I feel the same way whenever I think about it, too. Makes me want to break glass with my bare hands.

I don't know, I could see a new MMO with the current setting.

They could call it How I learned to stop worrying and love the Catalyst

I never read previews, but I still didn't expect previews to be this far off.

I'm glad people are complaining this hard, I'm even glad some more fervent fans decided to file suit.

From now on, either all developers should learn to shut up/ deliver what they promised, or game magazines should stop doing previews completely if they want to be taken seriously.

Ha, oh yeah I remember reading this.

More evidence to the theory that the endings were a quick, lackluster affair and it was NEVER their artisitc intention all along.

That is indeed very sad; in my case, I am basically discouraged with the current ending from any other future game using ME world : a correctly made ending in ME3 would even convince me to multiplayer game in the universe (that basically I do not play - mostly single player), instead they just killed the franchise, and surely I will not play any "postnuclear mass effect mmo game" or "arthur c. clarke +1000 years in future Mass Effect game".
