The ironical part here is that people are doing it on KOTOR since ME3, you know, BECAUSE OF ME3.
I remember reading that quote and thinking, damn, MMOs are bad for personal productivity but I'd probably at least check it out. I mean, it's Bioware, it wouldn't like an ordinary MMO, there'd be choice and stuff. Sweet Zeus, I love Bioware. I'm probably going to pre-order ME3 and buy a hoodie.
That was a better time.

I don't know about you but I'll never be able to make myself forget the sadness and disappointment I felt when I first beat Mass Effect 3.

I would consider an MMO ME if *3* things happened:
1) If the EC is satisfactory to me.
2) It happened after the Reaper events, because of obvious reasons.
3) It does not come with a subscription marketing strategy and instead has a cash store for cosmetics or if they feel the need to some 50% bonus xp packs.
Since I know this will be made by EA and the latter is more likely to have the sub-model and not the sub-free GW1 and 2 style model, I will most likely pass. I'm completely against subscriptions for MMOs. I feel I have better things to spend money on instead of wasting $100+ for one game for a year after buying it at the $60 price tag. I'm just not convinced.

Well that sucks, I once loved Bioware and their games, couldn't care less for EA though.

Maybe this is why he hasn't said much since the game came out. He spent too long reading fan feedback and completely lost his marbles. Now he's strapped to a bed somewhere while his mind has drifted off to a wonderful fantasy land where the ending was well received and everything was roses and sunshine, like Jonathan Pryce's character at the end of Brazil.
They might not be considering an MMO, but they may be reconsidering making a standalone multiplayer game. Let that thought chill your spine.

I wouldn't go nearly that far, but I think it's safe to say the man won't be getting any Christmas (or Hanukkah, or whatever) presents from me this year. Or any year.

I believe any plans of a Mass Effect MMO are definitely on hold (if there was any). But you can bet the spit bucket a multiplayer focused version of Mass Effect is in EA's future plans. I could even argue the sh*t we got under the guise of ME3 is that "standalone multiplayer game" from a technical point of view.
I'd bet a years salary that the "spectre pack" type micro transactions will be in every type of EA game for the conceivable future. It's hard as hell to find someone on BF3 (xbox) that didn't pay there way to unlock all the gear/weapons/vehicle perks now. I wouldn't be surprised if EA made back all the advertising dollars spent on ME3 from veteran spectre packs alone.
