I hate mmo's in their current state, it's ALL just another flavor of WoW.

"Et la marmotte mets le chocolat dans le papier alu..."

Sorry, that was my thinking after reading that...

I feel like being taken for a pigeon...

If this guy is anywhere mentionned in any form of games, I will avoid it like hell...

Even a facebook one...

Jesus.

Firstly, what a joke for the numerously aforementioned reasons.

Secondly, yech - yet another MMO? Don't we have enough of these inane grindfest time sinks already?

They will not likely do an mmo with the huge costs involved. Also their own production out now is struggling against WoW. I don't think Bioware will produce another mmo until StarWars is much more successful than now.

Was there ANYTHING that Mr. Hudson said about ME3 prior to its release that was not a complete and total lie?

Lets merge SWTOR and ME! Imagine your mainchar could blow up two galaxies in at least 4 different colours!

I just wonder if he knew 'anything' about ME3 beforehand, judging by his comments.

Mass Effect MMO

In order to kill the Brute boss you have to reach at least lvl 30... To reach lvl 30 you have to grind for a month and kill a million husks.

please no.... i'd rather be rapidly indoctrinated.

Further evidence that the ending was a last-minute swap-out for something "artistic" rather than an ending that fits Mass Effect.

It just pisses me off to think about at this point. It truly, truly does. I just don't understand why they needed something like that.

Leave your art in games that use it well, and whose whole point is delivering an "artistic" experience. "Dear Esther" is a great example. Beautiful game. Mass Effect was never about -

Eh, screw it. I don't want to get into this, just makes me go on an angry rant.

I sort of liked the idea. Start out small with a small ship. Do missions, collect stuff, sell stuff, buy a bigger ship. Fly to other planets, fight other ships, fight other people, etc. Walk around on the citadel, buy and mod weapons, do tech stuff, etc.

Moreso I liked the idea of there being more mass effect to come, whatever the shape or form. After this ending though ... not so much anymore.

The sad part is, if they decide at some point that they want to make an MMO, you know what they'll do? There are going to be few off screen "developments" (possibly released on twitter if you are feeling cynical) in between ME3 and the MMO:

- The Citadel blew up but the pieces are all intact and have emergency atmospheres. All they had to do was to puzzle it back together. Now it is as good as new
- All the star systems are alright because the relays exploded in a "special" explosion that didn't destroy everything and everyone
- The Mass Relays were figured out in the next 10 months or so and rebuilt (with the help of salvaged reaper tech because then it is of course "believable")

Blablabla, feel free to continue this until all plot holes are stuffed and all damage is repaired with even more ridiculous explanations.
You know what that does? That makes the ME trilogy plot not only pointless (as it is now) but it makes it pointless squared.

Unfortunately the pessimist in me believes this is exactly what we can look forward to in the extended cut.

just more proof that bioware didn't had a clue on how to finish the trilogy

rushed by EA, right down a cliff with the ME franchise

Play the new Mass Effect MMO. Granted all the relays are destroyed but you get realistic space travel now that the relays are gone represented by 20 year loading screens to get from one area to the other. Please note we suggest playing Salarians due to their 2 trip minimum.

And the universe becomes overrun by Asari, Geth, and Krogan :D

Limited? Those ward explosions were the size of city blocks.
Imagine those going off where you live. Nobody's surviving those, and nobody's surviving period when the wards go down.

Visit the Citadel indeed.

I see what you're saying but I am pretty sure the wards are much longer city blocks =]
A city block is about 300 feet.

I will say that this backs up the statement from Patrick Weekes that (for whatever reason) they did not anticipate us interpreting the outcome of the ending scenes the way we did.

While a pretty big foresight failure, it at least gives me hope for Extended Cut fixing these issues

Detachment from reality much. You can't market a product when you've killed much of it's interest.

Apparently as many as technologically possible.

The closer they copy WoW the better!:wizard:
