it's called advertising
Plus at this point anything that comes out of Jessica Merizan's mouth or keyboard, whatever, I basically treat as a super condescending PR girl jumping up and down telling you how awesome everything is and deflecting all the enormous issues while asking you inane questions while spamming emoticons all over the place.
Example:
Fan: Bioware' endings and treatment of me as a fan has crushed my soul and ruined Mass Effect for me.
Jessica Merizan: Thanks for the feedback!!!
Sorry to hear that,
:o what was your favorite moment in mass Effect!?
:O
lol ok, I overdid it with the emoticons, but you get the point, which is don't believe any of the crap they're trying to shovel our way at the moment, because it's all just spin. There are several significant technical and game quality issues that they are completely ignoring, and fans they are actively mistreating, while all the while aggressively campaigning as if ME3 were the next messiah.
P.S.- Not to mention that if they wanted us to get excited about upcoming DLC they should have focused on releasing a complete game that wasn't rushed, ruining the entire ME series in the process.
Oh please, we're not after people, who are essentially noncombatants in this global flamewar, for doing their job now are we?
Yes you have a right to be suspicious,
Yes you have a right to be mad at EA advertising for leading you on pre-release,
Yes you have a right to be mad at Hudson and co. for having the imagination and innovation of a wheely bin, as well as having litterally no integrity. (despite their claims otherwise)
But at no point should you, I... WE get mad at PR for doing their job.
For the record I'm not getting at you personally, but the community in general. I'm afraid you just happen to be the unfortionate scapegoat.
