They just want to get us all pumped up.
Thing is most of us are still, distrustful, angry, bitter, sad, resentful, suspicious or bored.
Maybe if these stupid teasing had come after a great and universally beloved end to a perfect franchise then we'd be right there going 'what do you think it means? Is it Omega!!! Oh my god its going to be so awesome!!!"
But coming after the ending, fans are ready for more of the same.
And Bioware STILL doesn't get that.
You know what would be very helpful. Very good to instill trust and make it harder to hate BW?
Post some day to day footage of BW working on the EC DLC. Show us the people working hard for us. Give little interviews about what each person does. Give us actually facts (not the whole thing, just small pieces) of what's in the EC DLC.
Honesty and clarity will work wonders, not vague hype and general statements.
They could have a live stream of the office working on it and I'm 99% sure people would still complain.
Make that 100%.
I think you're wrong.
Everytime someone has stepped in to offer us information or just talk with us personally, they've been well received. Every time.
People just wanted to talk to someone about the ending and the game. Now things may be different after BE spent a month ignoring and deflecting fans, but most of us still relish a chance to interact in some way with BW.
Putting faces on a faceless company never hurts either. Look how many people rush to defend Jessica Merizan after someone complains about her teasing tweets. Think they'd do that for a bot?
And even if we complain, that just means we're still invested.
By running silent, Bioware encourages us to look elsewhere for entertainment and information. People will invariably run to other devs and other games.
