Again those arn't Dragon Age. Please stay relevant.

One user just reported all their connection problems solved by disabling thier IP filtering software. Perhaps EA is on some filter lists.

It IS relevant, those games use the same verification programs from EA,

does EA Download Manager work? If so, log in to EADM and launch Dragon Age from there.

If both programs do not work, then you have a direct issue with the servers Dragon Age is trying to connect to.

What have you tried exactly to solve the problem, aside from checking to see if you aren't the only one having it.

Because looking for people who have the problem is not looking for the solution but looking for a problem. (very philosophical for a tech support board i know)

I suggest you find out what the adres is of the server the game sends an authentication request to and run a tracert command to it from CMD. See what hop it dies on and tell us so we can see where the issue lies.

I am not going to call my ISP to get my connection changed....not for EA. I have COX cable, this is not some off brand company. Everything I use works....ONLY EA and their software does not work. There are limits to what I must go through to try and get their shoddy game working.

I can try and get my ISP to cater to EA's strange needs, but more than likely this will not fix the problem. I am just going to get my money back, I can find a way to do so. I can't even see anything, not one part of the game. Stuck at verification....funny how quickly they verified my credit card info when I purchased the game...no problems there.

Isnt that funny?

see you arent here to find a sollution you are here to find a problem.

There is no use in helping you as everything i would sugest you to do would result in you finding a reason not to do it.

And aside form all of the above, what you are saying is not relevant to the solution. if you had done the tracert we couldve sene if it died on the EA server or on your router.

What are you suggesting? I am having to trace connections to get some garbage EA prgram to work. I have turned off all malware, windows and AVG..take down my firewalls. All for this one program....so now what tracert?

why not? I mean lord what do I have to do here? When does this start to cross into the realm of EA being responsible? I never heard of such a problem until I bought this from EA.

QUESTION

I purchased a digital download copy of Dragon Age: Origins and I can't authenticate/verify my game. What's going on?Image IPB

ANSWER

We've received reports of some users being unable to authenticate/verify their digitally downloaded copies of Dragon Age: Origins.
Rest assured that this is a known issue and, while it appears to be
more prevalent with copies purchased from third-party retailers (Steam,
Direct2Drive, etc. & not EADM), we are investigating a solution for
all affected users.
We know you're anxious to play, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue might cause. If you want to receive e-mail updates whenever more information on this topic becomes available, click the Notify Me... button at the bottom of the answer pane.Note: while potentially unrelated, as a general troubleshooting step, make sure you're entering the same product key to activate the game that you used to install the game.Update: Steps for addressing this issue have been posted here."

The above answer is for serial numbers not registering, not people who cannot connect to the server at all.

If you don't get a connection to either, its something on your side, not the programs' fault. Its either: you computer blocking connections to EA, your router blocking connections to EA or your ISP blocking connections to EA.
