No, I have no interest in MMORPGs and never will. I hope they never make a ME MMORPG and abandon SWTOR and give us KOTOR III.

KOTOR III is not up to BW, its up to Lucas Arts as they own all rights to the star wars universe. and i remember reading somewhere that they dont want a KOTOR III.

Now not making a third game in such a popular series makes about as much sense as the Greedo/Han shooting first thing... Maybe George Lucas is indoctrinated...

Yeah they're being foolish with all the people out there that would jump at the chance to buy KOTOR III. Not exactly the smartest buisness decision...

I would totally play a well-done, character-focused Mass Effect MMO.

Character focused?

I didn't understand that either, making anything story based needs to be a SP game only.

Oh, I'm not saying I have any idea HOW they could accomplish making an MMO as good as the Mass Effect single player. Certainly SWTOR tries (and fails)....

But if they did... I would totally play it.

:wizard:

Guild Wars 2 is a MMO with single player elements, like a personal storyline and character development. >__>
I don't think they would be able to accomplish that for Mass Effect though without a lot of time and money. I mean, Guild Wars 2 is over 5 years in the making...

But like, can you imagine? Some way of customizing your own character not just by modifying stats or gear, but temperament, dialogue, behaviors... a dynamic Mass Effect galaxy that allows you to join the Marines and become an N7 or work for the council as a Taurian Spectre, and go on FPS missions with a crew of live players working together.

Not a grind fest. Just a shared adventure... co-op on a massive scale. Player-created missions, maybe. Who knows.

I bump into you on the citadel and start a conversation. Your wheel choices are "Hi there, can I help you?" and "Leave me alone!" and so maybe you pick the first one.

My response could be to ask if you've got anything I can do for money, or maybe an alternative would be for me to flash my gun in your face and try to stick you up.

Etc...

Who knows. I mean, it's possible.

All of that would be good for a SP game, and not Mass Effect as it should end after the DLCs, comic book and the remake of the novel.

No. Never really liked MMOs anyway. Besides them being boring after awhile, I have this thing against continuing to pay to play a game I paid for, especially when I might not be able to play enough in a month for that monthly subscription fee to be worth it.

Never played MMOs before and I tried to play SWtOR. Not my cup of tea.

If I can't play a Star Wars MMO, then I can't play any MMO

This one thinks you lack vision.

If you think I lack vision then fair enough. I believe that some IP should have a beginning and end.

Nah, sorry, I was just teasing you. That is you who frequently uses the Hanar "this one thinks..." wording, right?

This. I like SWTOR; it's making an attempt at a mixture of character story elements and the grind of MMOs. Is it perfect? Not by any means and it has a long way to go. But the potential is there and it sure as hell grabbed my attention better than the text based WoW.... I wouldn't want this now though. The dissappointment of ME3 is still fresh and Bioware still has a lot to work out with SWTOR. If they end up figuring out that happy medium between story and grind, then I think a ME MMO would be great.

I want to say no, but I'd probably check out a free trial or something and see it. I doubt I'd play it hardcore though. Just don't see the lore to have it really work.

NO! Bioware has destroyed ME enough already, just fix the ending and put it out of its misery.

I would love a Mass Effect MMO, unfortunately since the current model for MMOs is total garbage and any MMOs that would be released would be garbage then I would have to pass on the idea for now. (I did enjoy the thought behind the SWTOR interactive cutscenes and character stories though, was a nice shot at something resembling a roleplaying game albeit lackluster.

If at some point in the future a company can create a massive game spanning the entire mass effect universe, implement a good overarching story, and give it solid mass effect shooter gameplay then I would be open to the idea. Although I think the game would have to be less of an MMO and more like something the original Guild Wars was. Just an Online game where you could gather in social hubs like the citadel, or other cities, but traveling outside of a city was always instanced to you and your party.

The current idea of being able to see other players wandering the world in good in theory but in practice it completely takes the player out of any sort of roleplaying experience. LIke.. "Hey look at that krogen over there jumping in circles and killing hundreds of Varrens to collect hides, I think I will join them" thats just stupid gameplay. Everytime I leave town I would want it to be into a mission, like one of the ME2 squad stories. Scripted and linear.

In the end, YES I want one but NO it couldn't be done.

I hate MMORPGs. I loved KOTOR, decided to give SWTOR a chance. Big mistake. Waste of my hard earned money.
