They're offering you DLC for FREE, to fix the endings. That's what we've all been asking for.

The entire time we wanted closure, and the plotholes to be fixed. And then when they offer us what we wan't, at the last second you say: "NVM WE WANT A COMPLETELY NEW ENDING!"

I personally find it pathetic, but thats just my opinion. Biowares atleast TRYING, right?

OK, first off, "fix" is not an absolute here. Their "fix" doesn't remove the Star Child, who personifies the single biggest problem many people have with the ending. The ending needs to be changed, not clarified.

Secondly, this terrible, terrible mistake they've made deserves to be brought up again and again until it's seared in the collective memories of everyone involved so that it doesn't happen again - ever.

That's what some people wanted.  Others wanted more endings among other things.  Some want the star child removed. Others want the indoctrination theory.  So far only those wanting clarity are getting what they asked for, potentially.

Where have you been?  This has been going on for a while.  Nor is it without precedent among video games, literature or art in general.  Personally I'm not demanding anything though.  The game would just be better if they fixed the tripe sandwich that was the ending.

I want a better ending, fix the plotholes and... fix the ending. If that results in happier ending, good, it's a plus.

What, who are you again? are you someone important to dictate such things? no? didn't think so. Run along.

I expressed what I wanted... I'm a consumer in a capitalistic system. If they want my money, they have to give me what I want ;).

I stated this in another thread: Have you considered the fact that perhaps there is no ending that Bioware or anyone else could create that would live up to the expectations you've set for your own personal ending?

You know how when you need to explain a joke, it just isn't funny anymore, and it tells you that you failed at telling it.

It's the same thing here. The fact that they need to explain anything (good luck on the Normandy issue) tells just how bad this is.

well evidently we didn't complain enough or long enough about our choices not mattering in DA2 for them to get the picture and fix it in ME3. I am going to continue until I see what they did with the EC DLC. I will probably quit then either way.....either as a happy camper, or as a guy actively searching for a new developer to love.

because bioware/€A need it burned in to their heads that a franchise, we spend 100s of hours in and lots of money, should have an ending that makes sense. they said we will have choices and that our choices matter throughout series, which has been utterly ignored.
having this little s*** godchild talking utter BS is just wrong and why the hell shepard cant asked anything or tell this brat to F off?

Because most people do not want clarification. They hear the word "clarification" and most can't help but think that, instead of being fixed, we'll just be getting an extra 10-20 minutes worth of explaination as to why the crappy ending is crap instead of it possible turning out to be pretty good. Most people did not want clarification; they wanted the ending to make it so that everything you played and went through meant something, rather than being negated like the current ending did. You cannot do that just with a little clarification; if you try, you will have to do an overhaul of sorts in this case. So no, it is not pathetic. It is simply people worrying about "clarification" making it worse or not any better at all while many others feel that "clarification" is nothing more than the easy way out because they never asked for mere clarification.

And with the way BioWare has been towards their customers recently, I would say "No, it is not 'at least they're trying'" for me. It is either they do a good job and they keep my faith in them (with my trust still having to be re-earned) or they do a bad job with them losing me as a customer.

This isn't a black and white issue unfortunately, I think you're looking at it too simplistically. I'm very grateful to Bioware for doing the Extended cut as personally if the DLC answers the basic questions about the Normandy and the Relays, as well as giving me a little bit of conclusion as to what I accomplished it will help me to really enjoy my Renegade story.

However my other playthrough will still be unsatisfying for me as the choices really didn't have anything to offer for paragons imo. So would I like to see expanded and new endings of course! Even if I was 100% happy with the ending (and I'm jealous of those who are)  I'd still want new endings, as it'd be an awesome way to add in replayability. Everything from seeing how messed up you can make things up to something so sweet and happy the most avid Talimancers and the Cult that sprung up for Blue Babies have to step back and say "okay that's a bit too sweet"

So if one person can straddle the ending issue to the point that they're happy on one play through and feel as though it's actually wasted time playing the other Shep on 1 and 2, how many variations would there by for every single person out there? A lot will not get covered by a simple blanket patch to expand the endings, so of course the outcry continues as their problems haven't been solved.  Thats not pathetic, thats just customers wanting satisfaction for a luxury product they purchased.

You know, I almost wouldn't be surprised if the clarification DLC ends up being Hudson, Walters, and Gamble sitting in chairs and discussing the various outcomes of the choices and the implications they have on the universe.

Because people don't know true pain, they do not know the feeling of seeing something that is from start to finish an insult to fans and a middle finger to the previous works and source material.

They have not seen their favorite series turned into a giant mockery to cash in on tweens who want to see a high school musical meets harry potter fanfic. Or see the worst choices for making a movie all combine into a perfect storm of suck. They have not seen the horrors hollywood can do to just get a few more dollars from this years film releases.

Sorry but this is a crapshoot.

It's just as easy to ****** ppl off by continuously bickering and whanot as it is to keep them "in line".

So even if this is what is trying to be done....doesn't mean it's happenning.

They heard you and said they would release something else.....now if it keeps going I wouldn't be suprised if they said "the hell with it".  What if the DLC isn't good enough?
