Wide Right!!!

Cliff Notes version...

Not everyone wanted a "closure" add on scenes. For the most part they considered the worse possible resolution.

People are upset for a lot of different reasons.

OP. You either didn't play the first 2 games or you are under 8 years old.

I'm not a pro-ender by any means but the nerd rage has long crossed over from somewhat acceptable to move the f*ck on already.

With the ending being the dissaster it was, Bioware really dug themselves into a deep hole. The bad ending prompted people to imagine all sorts of alternative scenarios, like IT, and SOME people went further and became really attached to their pet theory.

Because there are more than one such view, this guarantees that no matter what Bioware does, someone's pet theory is getting shot down, and thus not everybody will be happy, no matter what they do. This situation is of their own making.

However, apart from the IT crowd, I think everybody was on board with the idea that removing the space-magic kid would fix most of the most serious problems with the ending. But Bioware announced they are not doing that, or altering the ending at all - they are just explaining it more, extending it.

Thus the concerns of only a fraction of people dissatisfied with the ending are likely to be addressed.

The more serious problems (as outlined in this oft posted video) are unlikely to be addressed in any way, given no changes to what is already there.  And that is why people are still complaining. Because apparently they listened, but were very selective in what they heard.

I still HOPE against hope that they'll show me wrong, and somehow (through space magic? :wizard:) fix what to me seems unfixable with the limits they've set themselves.

I`m still dead sure if the ending would`ve been written by a competent writer with inspiration and/or knowledge of story-writing + atleast some passion bout what he/they were doin, people would`ve rolled with every scenario. Sure not everyone would`ve "liked" every scenario but people would`ve accepted it with some minor complaining.

But i doubt this will get solved now..there was some minor feeling of hope, but reality is that Bioware still thinks this ending was written "good" or by an artists..whatever.

Future games will realy have to be AAA to get their whole old fanbase back, which i doubt they will.

They're offering you DLC for FREE, to fix the endings. That's what we've all been asking for.

The entire time we wanted closure, and the plotholes to be fixed. And then when they offer us what we wan't, at the last second you say: "NVM WE WANT A COMPLETELY NEW ENDING!"

I personally find it pathetic, but thats just my opinion. Biowares atleast TRYING, right?

It's normal to protest about something that was promised and not delivered until you see it fixed.

It was about changing the ending all along, not about explaining it.

I mean the literally are going to put additions on their product and give it to you free of charge........I mean if they were such bad people and evil selfish corporation why would they make that much of a attempt?

Seriously you retakers have really lost sight of things.

It's called trying to salvage the situation.  They're doing it for their own self-interest, and nothing else.

And?

And ...  that answers your silly question.

The very definition of selfish is someone who acts only in their own self interest.
