Could he possibly be hinting at a time travel dlc? So here is a question to you all - If your Shep knew what he/she knows now about the reapers (before the end) and could travel to a specific time period, where/when would he/she choose to go.

Please God, no time travel..

No-one ever pulls it off, it's a certain lore failiure every single time!

I agree about the time travel, when that thought occured it made my stomach turn...

A few months back I'd have said that we're pretty much save here as there is no way time travel would fit into the science of the ME universe. Then came StarBrat™ and Space Magic...

Now that I've seen how the series end I'm not sure I want to visit any other time period at all in the ME universe.

Before Shepards story? Only if it involves humans. I want humans involved. I need them as a point of reference so to speak. And the near future feeling that I like so much with the ME universe would be gone without humans.
And the humans have only been involved in intergalactic business for a very short period of time. So it would be hard coming up with any interesting at all if it's set before the events of ME1-3.
Maybe the first contact war. But any prequel would still feel pointless since Mr "I...Don't know" will send the galaxy to the dark ages anyway.

And a story set after ME3? I don't know. How long after would that be 15,000-20,000 years? All ties to previous events would have to be gone to avoid forcing a canon ending on the players and thus not interesting at all for me. And obviously the near future feeling would be gone as well.

Sure, they could have the next game be set directly after or at least only a few years after ME3 and name it
"Mass Effect 4: Mad Max In Space". But I think i'll pass on that. And again, hard to do with no canon ending.
Besides... If I want a game with a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting I'll just start up Fallout 3.

So the problem with sequels is that if BioWare want to create another Mass Effect game set after the events of ME3, be it 10,000 or 10 years they have to choose a canon ending for ME3. And they have stated that there is no canon ending.
And should they backtrack on that decision and force their favorite color on the players as the canon ending I foresee another sh*tstorm coming up.

This is talking about ME3?

Yes it is.  I just can't get excited about this content without an ending fix.  The only thing that would get me pumped is Harbinger battle DLC since, you know, I'm obsessed with Harbinger and his badassery.  Anyways, with the ending fix, I had said that New York City would be a cool place to visit.  Shooting husks and collectors in Central Park.

Earth, London, 5 minutes after Shepard takes a breath -so I can find out if my choices changed anything or if my war assets helped anyone :P

But I guess that wsn't what he was asking so. I liked the inside of the Reaper and Eden Prime when it was filled with floating Gas Creatures

Rannoch - how about some pre-war quarian city ruins? The architecture on Haestrom was neat.

(1) I'll go with the OP's suggestion say the inside of an active Reaper during the events of ME3. Take it down from within by overloading its ME core!

(2) The Prothean Empire before the Reaper invasion, featuring the conflict with that synthetic species whose name I always forget (z-something)

Parrot Penny Arcade's raving idiocy if you like, that'd still be a better ending.

Actually expand the Elcor Ambassador's evacuation fetch quest into a full-on mission, with cinematics and gameplay. I want to visit the Elcor homeworld, and see the Elcor living tanks in action!

I'd love to visit the Elcor homeworld too!

But I guess he's saying revisit here.

Otherwise Elcor and Hannar homeworlds would be great, and so on.

a) I can take criticism that isn't raving, biased idiocy

B) Penny Arcade were always idiots ever since they became World of Warcraft fanboys then when Blizzard did one thing they personally didn't like started ranting and raving against them in ill concieved, unfunny comics.
Gabe and Tycho are a pair of arrogant tosspots.

Anywhere/time before the last 15 minutes of the series was amazing to me.

I do like Illium.

Omega was pretty good (reminded me of a Mos Eisly:  "You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villiany.")

A few other scenic places in ME2.

Sadly I think both sides are at fault. I think PA fails to understand what a vast majority of people's issue with the ending is - and I think it's also 'retakers' fault for being so aggressive against anything that disagrees with them at times / paints them in a bad light.

However, I will say this - the Retake movement and many people within it are often civil, kind, and surprisingly well-thought out for gamers on the internet (You know our favorite stereotype). I do think that after enduring all the insults they've recieved (Or heck, ANY of us have recieved about wanting a better ending) that maybe there's a bit more venom to some people's tone.

But I do think your comment was misplaced, Our LAst Scene. No one's asking for super happy birthday cake ending. They were asking for a scene that makes sense / gives closure (Joker staying - makes sense, he'd fight with you to the end. Shepard alive makes sense - if you choose Destroy. Mass Relays in tact... Not so much, we see them explode, so it would require a retcon - of which many people want.)

Yes, but they are planning ahead.

In their mind the EC will be bootilicious, all the fans will flock back to the franchise in droves and happy DLC selling can commence.

As has been said before... they seem to have no idea what the community actually wants.

Honestly, I would like to see a time period AFTER the events of Mass Effect 3. Anything before would just be boring for me to play, because it all leads up to that depressing ending eventually.
