Look at what happens every time Mike Gamble says a word. He gets reminded of the blatant nonsense he sold us during pre-release.

Now imagine Hudson or Walters saying anything at all.

Yeah. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we never hear from them in a Bioware context again. You think Bioware is going to slap Casey Hudson's name on their next project, even if he's the one to come up with it? Right now is name is equal to false advertisement, empty hypes and broken promises. A lot of people are going to steer very clear of anything he leads after this, if they know he's the one leading.

Yeah, I get the feeling Chris Priestly is doing the same, after he gave a strong indication to me that Bioware originally planned to charge for the resurgance and Extended Cut DLC.

He refused to confirm or deny, and you take that as a yes? <_< Anyway, even if they did originally plan it, they've made the decision not to. So, point is moot.

The point is not fully moot.

Firslty, 90% of the time someone says they won't confirm or deny something, you have caught them out.

Secondly, the very fact that the Extended Cut DLC was planned BEFORE ME3 launched means that they intentionally launched an unfinished product, and pretty much planned to charge users again to see everything they decided not to include.

Mass Effect 3 was planned to be milked beyond belief, and this is a trend that's becomming more and more common with games. Things have to change

First I don't blame them, there's a lot of people out for blood, no discussion, if you don't believe it look at the thread in which Mike Gamble posted a few weeks ago, he just posted a single message and some individual was automatically on full calling out mode.

And second i don't think it's entirely their choice, the PR department have most likely "suggested" they shouldn't come out until after the EC is out.

Totally agree, on both points.

90% of the time we make up a random statistic to support our theory and try to bolster our case. It doesn't necessarily make it true.

With all due respect, this is grasping at straws that aren't there - and is a slight betrayal of a conversation held in private with one of the mods (at least, I think this is a PM chat you had with him.) You should respect him for taking the time to answer you, and that while you may not agree with his thoughts on threads, you shouldn't try to extract negative comments that aren't directly stated just because he won't/can't say yes/no.

Still, it's an interesting read to see his thoughts. :)

You know. BioWare/EA has made several questionable PR moves during this fiasco.
But keeping Casey and Mac silent and locked up in a closet is probably a good idea at this time.
It doesn't matter what they say at this point and it will turn in to a sh*tstorm.

What happened to Casey Hudson and Mac Walters?

The answer is simple. They have harvested our ME3 ending and go back into dark space to wait for next ME Cycle.

No, it just means he either won't or can't tell you. You're only hearing what you want to hear, instead of listening to what he's actually saying. I'm not surprised he stopped talking to you after that. Your tone was awfully accusatory.

Even if you have proof that the EC was planned before ME3, and that they were planning on charging for it, they're releasing it for free. So if you wanted a change, there you go.

Please don't post PM's. Don't you think it's a little disrespectful? The 'P' stands for private, as in private. Having a PM conversation with a mod or a dev has an implicit agreement that this is between the two participants.

I've had PM's with mods and devs and they do mention things, but they'll just stop if you publish everything they say and rip it apart.

If I wanted to publish a PM on this forum, I would at least have the courtesy to ask said dev or mod if they agreed.

Think about the ramifications before you post please.

Thanks.

Since they were responsible for that abomination (the ending), any word from them should be taken with an entire bag of salt. I think they're just saving themselves the trouble. Nothing they say or do at this point will be taken seriously anyway.

I know that Casey Hudson is still around, he resently disbanded the hold the wallet group with no warning. I dont know about the other guy you asked about.

They are hibernating. They will come out of their hole on June 2 and if they see their shadow there will be four more weeks of bad endings.

They are the prime targets for fan rage because of their job titles. It is better for them to disappear until the DLC is released.

Considering all of the compulsive lying that went on about the ending prior to the game's release and the now very vocal reaction to those lies, I am betting they were told to keep quiet. Hopefully they are spending their time attending some writing workshops.

This. These forums are downright volatile. Anything said will be quickly colored with personal opinions and speculation then set ablaze before passing it on to the rest of the internet.

I wouldn't blame them for keeping any and all information/contact off the internet.

They dropped off the grid on the same day. I'd say someone at EA/Bioware suggested they keep out of sight for the time being.

I'm of two minds if I want to discuss their artistic vision with them. It would be interesting for sure to hear how they intended the ending to come across. But do I really want to know? Would that make things worse, perhaps? And if it was their intention to Torch the Franchise and Run, they'd never tell us anyway.

OK we're ready for a good old lynching.

That's probably why we don't hear from the, because they will be flamed.
