But keeping Casey and Mac silent and locked up in a closet is probably a good idea at this time.
It doesn't matter what they say at this point and it will turn in to a sh*tstorm.

Mike Laidlaw had the good sense to make a statement regarding the concerns about DA2's shortcomings and some DLC plans to rectify those in the added content.

It was some vague PR bull****, but still, it's better than silence.

I was on a thread where one of the mass effect team members wanted to quell a false rumor and people attack and called him a liar etc..now you want the head writers to come on to these forums? Guys that's not happening...

So feeding fires that are already PR problems is preferrable to letting them wind themselves down over time?

What?

Alright I'm getting sick and tired of the flaming argument.
They're both big boys, they can take a few bad words said on the internet.

This thread again? You know the answer already, anything they said would be twisted and scrutinized to a huge amount. They're better off not doing anything that might fan he flames. Plus the few times Gamble posted there were always folks who start bashing him.

After numerous interviews, promising this and that to games.that they will get this in end, in reality, all know that it wasn't true. Games went confusion to disappointment to enraged after five years of support and trust given to them, in the end, it did not mean jack.

They're in a dark room, with a copy of Mass Effect 3, Stroking their artistic Integrity while a multi-colored disco light swirls above them. And Talk Talk-"It's My Life" or Alanis Morrisette is playing in the background

^^^^THIS

Seriously, if I were to venture a guess, I would say that they're on a 75 foot yacht in the Carribean Sea with bikini clad women (or men) serving them drinks. They are dancing the night away to Soave's "Crying Over You" with a Mclaren mp4-12c sitting on the top deck with about as much use as an average potted plant. Filet mignon quietly sizzles in the cast iron skillet on the lower deck. They aren't worried about fans, their concern right now is if they have enough Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Romanee-Conti Grand Cru to last through the night or will they have to crack open the bottle of Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon.

Honestly, given the fan backlash, they're probably in a Witness Protection Program and have been moved to Guatemala. Remember, sane people aren't the only ones who really didn't like the ending...

From a pure fan relations standpoint, I don't think they dare make a statement with things as they are now. Unless the PR line was exquisitely and flawlessly crafted, the tsunami of flames would most likely crash the boards.

If I was Casey/Macs boss I'd tell them to never communicate with fans again.

Anything that comes out of their mouths is a lie. It's making Bioware look bad.

Regardless of whether or not they wanted to charge for content, its their right as a developer to do so, and its out rights of an Consumer to not pay for them and boycott if they did.

For Marc and Casey to disappear is the correct way to do things, they already stated that they are happy with the ending, there is no apology needed, they did what they wanted, there was no mistakes. If you read the statements, they already confirmed that Artist Integrity forbids them from any forms of apology.

Since they are never in the wrong, and any statements made by them will be tore apart, there is no reason for any of them to announce or state anything anymore.
Thats why they are no longer on Twitter or any Social medias.

Its a sad day when Gamers and Fans support a Developer that doesn't give a rats ass about their products and its devoted fans. Thats what we get when you have those that didn't like the ending, but will never complain and will still throw money to the Developers just because they can.

The problem is the way the community reacted to Mike Laidlaw's post right after Dragon Age 2 was his last for two to three months, so they just decided to not bother.  Something else that might be contributing to their lack of posting on these boards is I don't remember them even posting, so why post when the majority of the threads on the forum are attacking something you just spent two years making.

Of course they might also be on vacation, for they just spent ten years making the Mass Effect series.

Taking a while for this wind to die down. Only going to get worse from here on out I say.

They've retreated into hiding, and quite frankly, I prefer it that way. Unless they have decided to apologize for all of the lies they have given us, they can stay in whatever underground bunker they've retreated to.

In most circumstances I would agree with you.
But during this particular sh*tstorm I think the old saying 'speech is silver; silence is golden' saying is applicable.

It's so infected at the moment it just doesn't matter what they say and people will go berserk and demand their blood.
Casey says 'Hi' and you'll bet that the fan base find some hidden subliminal message hidden in that statement.
