I don't know. Maybe there are reading some "Writing for dummies" stuff. Like not ending a 80 - 90h trilogy with a 5 minutes deus ex machina.

Considering the amount of rage going about - I would be hiding if I were either of them.

Yeah, I get the feeling Chris Priestly is doing the same, after he gave a strong indication to me that Bioware originally planned to charge for the resurgance and Extended Cut DLC.

He answered appropriately and I didn't see any strong indication they would from what you posted.  Honestly, if I were in his shoes, I would have answered the same exact way.  You presented a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.  That is exactly why Hudson and Walters are sitting back for a bit.

Either they don't feel like they should have to make any comments, or they are trying to keep the friendly faces of Bioware out in the open right now. Chances are there is nothing they could say or do, short of going completely against what they want, and remain on good terms with the fanbase.

I don't really care what they are up to as long as they stay away from any ME-related work. If they are still at BW I hope they're cleaning the toilets. I feel kinda bad for the folks at BW in a way, they are people like the rest of us. They're just doing their jobs and try to do it well. My disgust for BW/EA lies with MacHudson and the bosses of BW/EA. I do hope we won't hear from them for a long, long time because frankly, if I see any of them in the near future I'll punch a hole through my monitor. MacHudson=liars and cheats. EA=scum of the earth, a puss filled boil in the arse of gaming.

If they were real man. They would not have been hidden, and expressed their position and how they see the way out of the situation.

I honestly believe Bioware could have handled this situation much better. I have complete love for what the ME3 Bioware team, especially those who have handled the situation and have tried to do something about it ,for example Patrick and Mike. But the fact that Casey Hudson and Mac Walters have completely dissapear just enrages me even more. They happen to stop using Twitter on the same day, They happen to both not show up at PAX, they happen to be nowhere to be found. When are they going to stand up and acknowledge the problem, so they really think they can just dissapear in a situation like this...
I have a hunch that they're just going to happen to show up after the EC DLC is released, especially if it happens to be decent and actually manage to give us some closure. Anyway, I have lost my respect for this two individuals.

Another sign that Bioware are not PR wizards. Which is fine with me, even though my desire to see them succeed makes me want them to get better at it. Don't worry about the fact that Hudson and Walters are keeping a low profile, for now, they aren't mandated to interact with fans or the public and - on a personal, not business level - I totally understand why they would not want to right now. Even now the forums are filled with senseless raging haters who don't seem to grasp that we are made a complaint, gave criticism, and ultimately convinced Bioware to create new content for us (for free, no less). At the very least, one should wait until that content is released to judge it AND one should also remember that it is "just a game". I don't mean that to discourage criticism and thoughtful discussion (which is awesome, good, and well deserved), but in the sense that one should temper their emotions with the knowledge that nobody died, recieved bodily injury, or was even threatened because of of the ending. The ending was not an affront to humanity or dignity, you can argue that it was an affront to art or a communicative failure - but many people raging about the ending are being disingenuous.

I don't know why people think Hudson or Walters talking here would be bad. Look at Gamble, people didn't exactly love him for what he said pre-release, and he came here and debunked that leak. He didn't seem to get bombarded with hate. Sure, there will ALWAYS be the few angry people that go the extra mile and make petty threats, and that's why there's the ban hammer.

I think people would actually welcome Hudson or Walters to talk. I mean come on it would be nice.

See above where I said this means Bioware are not PR wizards.

From a business/PR standpoint the BEST thing that Hudson and Walters could be doing is getting out in front of this thing and engaging the community directly. They should be talking about nothing except the ending, even if all they can say is "we can't tell you everything we are working on, but be assured that we are here, listening, working on an extended cut that will address most of these problems" over and over again.

From a personal standpoint, walking out waist deep in to this mess is difficult, scary, and emotionally draining. I understand why, since it isn't part of their contract to do it, they really don't want to do it. They are artists and they've invested themselves in to this story and this game and there is little that hurts more than having something you made torn apart - ESPECIALLY by hyperbolic, hateful people that call themselves "fans". Even though those hateful people might be a tiny minority of those commenting and unhappy with the ending, their voices are the ones that will feel loudest to the artist and they are DEFINITELY the ones the artist should be tuning out. The thoughtful criticisms can help them grow as artists and create revisions that will leave them AND us happier with their own work, but those criticisms are longer, harder to remember, and still emotionally difficult to swallow.

They were last sighted changing vehicles about 20 miles outside of Hibberts Gore, Maine. They had to run fast when town's one and only inhabitant recognized them and called the dogs.

This thread again? You know the answer already, anything they said would be twisted and scrutinized to a huge amount. They're better off not doing anything that might fan he flames. Plus the few times Gamble posted there were always folks who start bashing him.

Yup, this.

I kind of don't blame them for hiding out, even if it isn't the best idea.

They're staying silent in order not to make the ending controversy worse. I think they'll be back around the time the ending DLC is released.

Well if we're lucky. The rest of the Bioware team ate them. Or has locked them in a closet out of shame.

It's wishful thinking I suppose. :P
