i really thought i would pre-order DA3 even though i didnt like DA2 but to be frank i might just wait for reviews...

God this is depressing it really is why do we need MP in a SP game thats whole focus is the story? No one pays attention to story in MP or Co-op cause your playing around with your friends!

Let me guess the MP for DA3 will be something like kill wave after generic wave of enemies?

Whatever they produce, if you don't like the look of it and sounds like might not then simply don't buy it instead of whining later after 'you' made that choice to buy it. Personally I am willing to wait and see what they produce and in the mean time keeping leaving reasonable and respectful feedback.

After DAII, pre-order was already off the table for me for DAIII any way. If a multiplayer turns out to be fun, I might still buy the game. If not, I probably won't buy it at all.

You basically said it.
There's always the bargain bin. And after the DA2 and ME3 controversies the next Bio game will drop down in price much sooner. There's always hope ;)

I would be fine with this if they made the secondary apps and such more available.
I've been wanting to buy a Windows Phone, but if they keep up with only releasing these apps for iPhone, it makes me seriously consider just sticking with an iPhone.

But Dragon Age Legends was fine - it was on Facebook, so everyone with an internet had it available to them, and it gave me something to do when I was bored at work. I wouldn't mind if there was something like that, with more ties to the game.

But yea, I hate the idea that you have to buy a second game/app on a second platform you may or may not have in order to get the entire experience. Make it free and not just an iPhone/iPad thing, and I'll be fine.

Oooh, oooh. In before announcements of external platform applications and assurances that it won't be required to unlock all singleplayer endings.

As usual with these games, I'll wait until the price drops down to $20 or less then pick it up. That way it'll be the same as going out to a movie that sucked.

Mass Effect MP is great. It worked well for this Mass Effect fan.

Unless you think the bad ending happened because Mac Walters was too busy writing netcode to come up with something better.

Single player fans (you played multiplayer thus making you fan of multiplayer or fan of both SP & MP)

without mp best ending isn't possible

I understand. You can't be a single player fan if you like single and multiplayer. Just like I can't be a BioWare fan if I'm a fan of BioWare and Bethesda, or a cat fan if I'm a fan of cats and dogs.

Krogangreetings wrote...

All three endings are available without MP. What you miss without MP is that 3 second shot at the end. If that's vital to you, then yes, you have to play a single MP match to get it.

People that likely won't be among the working very long.

I'm usually up at 6 or so, because that's when my fiancee has to go to work. Since I'm not usually at the office until closer to 8:30 (because my meetings tend to happen between about 9:30 and 5:00), that gives me a while to putz around in the mornings. So I'll occasionally boot up the Xbox and play something light that doesn't require a ton of investment.

Back when I had a job in Delaware, I would play my PS3 before heading off to work. Or I would play my DS before heading off to work.

I'm not sure if they're all tie-in games. I think the article is saying that if I played a copy of Medal of Honor on my PS3 I could also play it on my Iphone if I wasn't near my PS3.

Or something like that. I think what they're doing is trying to make it so that people can play their games anywhere.

Which, if that's what it is, isn't a bad idea. But it just goes to show how EA's priorities are ****ed up, because this is really something that is completely unimportant compared to other issues

Baldur's Gate 2 had a multiplayer component; Blasphemy, burn it with fire. I probably won't play the MP component, but I wouldn't call it depressing. It's not like they're making the Mario Party equivalent of Dragon Age. *Hits a Number Block* You got.... Anders Antics! A 2v2 mage versus warrior battle taking place in paddleboats on rushing rapids. Press A repeatedly to gain carpal tunnel syndrome.

Possibly bad news for Bioware.
And possibly bad news for EA.
I don't get it. Why don't they get their act together instead of inventing new ways to turn things into poop?

I'm not sure what a MP DA game would look like, really. I mean some sort of 4 player coop would be my guess but that sounds really uninteresting.

Umm...If I were a worker/manager at EAware, I'd first and foremostly make sure my next game wouldn't become a fiasco too. Get your priorities straight, EAware.

I'd advise staying calm. Bioware has done the MP in SP games before, and it didn't mess up the SP. NWN did it, and I don't remember it having an adverse effect on SP at all. Even some of user-made modules feature this, and let me tell you, some of the user-made modules are absolutely fabulous.

However, I must admit that I don't know exactly how it all works. Personally, I wouldn't touch any MP or MMORPG with any kind of pole, ten foot or otherwise.

I think, personally, that the mess-up in ME3 was not intentional. At least I'm hoping it wasn't. Although it is quite puzzling that no one "in the know" is stepping up and explains this inconsistency.

So long as it stays optional and isn't necessary to get the best outcomes I don't really give a damn. Besides there isn't anything about DA in the article, and EA holds sway over A LOT of third party franchises, don't expect it'll cover all of them. Right now regardless this doesn't go any further than assuming. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath.

EA already announced a while ago that they intended for most/all of their games to feature a multiplayer component. I would say it is probably safe to assume DA3 will have some kind of multiplayer.

I am hoping it is 4player co-op flashpoints, like from SWTOR.
