Who the hell plays XBox 360 before they go to work?

People that likely won't be among the working very long.

I'm usually up at 6 or so, because that's when my fiancee has to go to work. Since I'm not usually at the office until closer to 8:30 (because my meetings tend to happen between about 9:30 and 5:00), that gives me a while to putz around in the mornings. So I'll occasionally boot up the Xbox and play something light that doesn't require a ton of investment.

Fair play I think. That's quite impressive, but whatever happened to the hallowed gamer tradition of staying up late on work nights playing games instead of going out (because you'd be shattered for work the next day and hungover, so that'd be silly) and then being zombified next day?

I'm ok with that, as long as you don't miss SP stuff for not wanting to do MP. I'd love if MP let you do things, like, getting extra EXP or gear so you can skip sidequests and go straight to the main quest.

I'm not sure what a MP DA game would look like, really. I mean some sort of 4 player coop would be my guess but that sounds really uninteresting.

They'll probably have a facebook/smartphone app like Dragon Age: Legends and a Mike has said something about a BG 2 like MP where you co-op through the game.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the ME3 co-op worked out, so I'm open to the idea of Dragon Age implementing its own online features. I'm personally hoping that the next Dragon Age game has some form of co-op.

How is that I hear Je T'aime,...Moi Non Plus by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg playing in my head?

I'm reasonably sure that the existence of waking hours before 7 a.m. is an urban legend. I don't think I've ever been up earlier than that except when I was smoking crystal meth.

ME3 MP is fun. Works well and they were able to blend it into the main game a bit. Thing the shooterish style of combat lends to that. Not sure that DA style combat would be as engaging that way.

I'd advise staying calm. Bioware has done the MP in SP games before, and it didn't mess up the SP.

I disagree and would like to leave it at that.

If it's optional there is nothing to get mad over. Though either way, I'm not likely to use the feature. I already spend too long on games at home.

Well as long as the content or purchase of these tablet games aren't necessary for the best or complete story/content of DAIII I don't really care. Chance are it will only affect an arbitrary number that doesn't change the ending and/or offering a new weapon/shirt in the full game. At least that's the hope.

Seems like a solid way to make a little more cash off the hardcore and dedicated fans of whatever franchise. For the casual or core fans that just like the main games it probably won't have much weight on anything.

Mass Effect 3.

The extra 3 seconds of a specific ending cutscene that you couldn't get without multiplayer, messed up the single player for you?

I’m enjoying ME3 multiplayer (when it works), but those ‘three seconds’ are representative of so many broken promises and set a worrying precedent, no question.

without mp best ending isn't possible

All three endings are available without MP. What you miss without MP is that 3 second shot at the end. If that's vital to you, then yes, you have to play a single MP match to get it.

I'd consider whether the protaganist of a trilogy lives or dies being based on whether or not the player has either played multiplayer, bought one of the ipad apps or edited their saved game information to artificially inflate their EMS to be a pretty crappy state of affairs, all things considered.

After DA 2, the franchise can only move upwards for me. It really hit rock bottom on alot of point, so I'm trying to be optimistic here.

'Again?'

Because I have ME 3 on PC, I can modify the War Assets file to whatever number I desire. A capability the X-Box360 and PS3 apparently lack.

dEAth of the crpg. But since they have alrEAdy made it clEAr that it is their intention to charge customers for every possible nickel possible, there should be no surprise that they would put profit ahEAd of content.

The main problem is that they put profit ahead of profit. Real profit. That's why EA have a hugely negative brand value. That's why they're steadily imploding.

EA already announced a while ago that they intended for most/all of their games to feature a multiplayer component.

Long enough ago that even Origins got one.

EA's social mandate is why DAO character profiles were uploaded to BSN.
