Hi guys,

I have two major suggestion, and one major bug to report to the Dragon Age team.

a) First off, I am having crashes frequently. Meaning, the same place, same situation, over and over again, et cetera, and it getting annoying. I have the most updated nVidia drivers, to no ado, and my system is well above minimum requirements. I am running on a widescreen notebook. I am guessing it has something to do with the sound-- as soon as I get to the Kocari (sp?) wilderness, and begin facing darkspawn, my computer freezes up. It starts with sound stutters/framerate issues, but then the sound suddenly goes into a loop, or I get lagg (freeze frames) until the game magically stops working, and I am forced to do a hard reboot to get things working again. Cntrl + Alt + Delete doesn't work. I assume something is wrong with the sound or compatibility, but I have never had this problem before, not even on games that were reviewed as being buggy such as Dungeon Lords and Dark Messiah.

B) There needs to be a tab function to switch between party members. It could also extend to inventory screens, et cetera, allowing you to quick-switch between characters, inventory, stats, et cetera on the fly for each character.

c) Would be nice if some menus just closed if you clicked offscreen, rather than using my hand/mouse coordination to click the little X button up in the corner. :)

Thanks, and if I notice anything new, I will report it. Great game, a few concessions made for consoles I can see, but no hard luck as far as the port goes, seems like an excellent game, with a few game-stalling bugs. I am sure I will offer a better opinion once I can PLAY the damned thing. :)

You only gave us five minutes! Patience..!

I'm personally not having many problems, and certainly no critical ones. I don't think nvidia is an issue (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GSI).

Agree with c), and B) to some extent, interfaces are annoying when you have to concentrate a bit to click a small symbol rather than happily brainlessly clicking anywhere or tapping a close, convenient button you don't have to think about to continue/change screen. I don't think alt/left ctrl/left shift are even mappable, so maybe onea those to switch between chars?

Perhaps it gets too excited at the thought?

Not too worried about when it starts working, just making sure my post doesn't get buried in the heap. Patches will eventually fix bugs, but I would REALLY like to see a few interface tweaks such as the ones suggested in the game.

I second that (again). Three yeas to our motion already, things are looking up :D

I'm sorry I can't actually help I've not much technical knowledge, and I'm finding those that do don't reply/help a lot of the time, a lot of people are furious at getting help from nowhere. I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.

Anyway, good luck! (I'm sorry to say you'll probably need it) :/

Thanks guy,

One last suggestion. How hard would it be to add a feature into the patch where you can cue up orders for any party member? For instance, activate stealth, and then stack an attack after it, or a heal potion, then a spell...?

Dayng, you're coming up with some good ones! Actually, I for some reason automatically assumed actions were queueable (I don't know why, it just looked like they would or might or should be). I was disappointed when I saw they do one thing at a time then auto-react and you can't tell where the line is between giving them a fresh command and interrupting the one they're performing. Perhaps even as a new skill/preference or such if necessary 'battle plans' ('on/off'). So I strongly second this one as well.

Right yeah, sorry for spamming your topic, I'll stop now (but see what I mean even though we keep bumping it to the front? No replies) :/

BUMP

And yes, these ideas are good, only because they are intuitive. We "expect" to be able to do these things in a game interface nowadays, a good infinity RPG just hasn't come along in a long while to fulfill these prophecies. :) Same as we expect to click the alt key in any action-rpg to see loot on the ground, or hold shift to stay in place.

Oh yes, and thanks for your courteous attention. :) I'm glad to have at least one fan while I dwell on how much I *wish* was playing Dragon Age rather than salivating over it. :)
