Since the resurgence dlc came out i kept playing the mp to get geth engineer or infiltrator. right now i gave out 400000 credits of gameplay time and still no geth!!!!!!. Why cant it be like when you get enough credits you can buy the specific character or weapon in the store instead of wasting gameplay time relying on luck!!!!! Because after playing every map 20 times it gets ultra boring with the same character
I hope that bioware reads this and does something about it

This was the number one complaint about the demo (OK, I'm just made that up but never mind that detail).

Further, you failed a spot check. This feature was intentionally designed to be frustrating - because the average player will probably just buy a bunch of packs with Bioware points (i.e. real world cash) rather than playing dozens of silver matches with gear they don't like.

It's an attempt at manipulation that feels very similar to a slot machine, lottery or in the games that blight my FB page. It works on assuming that people will pour more money in, in the hope of getting a reward that isn't immediate. Thus forcing an ever increasing spend. It assumes that many will not put in the time and effort into playing the game repeatedly to accumulate points through gameplay.

I seem to recall a senior EA exec making a speech to this effect in some vid ages ago.

I don't believe it's working (assuming the amount of disgust that most posts communicate) for a number of reasons.

1 For many ME was a SP experience and are opposed to any MP elements at all. The inclusion of this type of manipulation reinforces this prejudice.

2. It is such a blatant attempt at a quick revenue snatch. It fails because not only is it blatant, but ME gamers are sophisticated enough to recognise it IMO.

£. I don't believe many gamblers and gamers operate on the same level. Gamers are consumers and I believe a consumer will willing spend if they are interested in an item. If it's displayed and available. As it exists ME3's "store" system is a complete misnomer. It's a casino/lottery and that operates in a completely different spectrum.

IF MP needs a store system at all. Then it needs to operate on those principals.
