I'm pretty sure that in a few weeks the only incentive I'll have to keep playing is weekend events. I may log in to do those, but that'll probably be it.

Less people playing = less time before Bioware shuts down ME3 servers.

I used Diablo 3 as an EXAMPLE. I provided other examples of imminent game releases in this very same thread.

Also, no, obviously D3's target audience isn't necessarily the ME3 crowd - but it also doesn't mean that people only like one genre of video games. It's not that hard to understand what I mean, people. It is more than just D3 that will cause a population vacuum in many games for the first few weeks, but other games will release in the same time span and cause an even larger drain.

By then, it might not be worth it for BioWare to release more content, if other people are getting hooked on other games. This is why i keep on insisting that we need new game modes and incentives to play other than the painful store system and the never ending hunt for N7 weapons. As someone who has all the N7 weapons to rank III - V already....MP is getting entirely too repetitive. Even Gold on NOT FBW/G/G is becoming too easy.

We need variety, and we need it before every big game hits in the next 2 months.

And let me just stress this again; the ME series is my favorite vg series of all time, period. It doesn't mean I won't criticize it due to my desire to see more satisfying and substantive content though, especially since I can't bear to play through SP again until after EC is released.

I'm not going anywhere. I'll still be playing. I'm looking forward to the day that true fans are the only ones left playing, while everyone else just passing through is gone!

On PC it might be dead, but considering that the majority of the overall players bought the game for 360, I can't see ME3 dying as a whole. Now when Halo 4 comes out then it will be fairly desolate on 360 xD

Ummm...Diablo 3's graphics arent that impressive. Consoles could handle it easily.

Have a few (5-6). Don't have a Black Widow, which I would really like. Otherwise, have been a very happy man ever since I acquired the Valiant. And wish I could trade the N7 Eagle for another Commendation Pack N7 weapon because I seem to suck at it.

While I agree the MP has gotten stale and will definitely have a short shelf-life, I had no idea that Diablo 3 was coming out, nor have I ever played the game or heard of it. Same with Guild Wars 2..

What that says to me is that it won't last long regardless of what games come out. But if the fan-base is more like you all and less like me then it seems it would definitely speed up the process.

I hope to be able to sign on to the MP months from now just to play a friendly game or two. Hopefully I won't have to wait hours in a lobby for a public match - meanwhile all the old players are playing GW2 or Diablo III

Diablo 3 will be the end of all games. ME3, MW3, GoW3, ACV, doesn't matter. With Diablo 3 the entire gaming population of the planet should drop what they are doing to go buy it, and then internets around the world will crash as an unimaginable amount of people attempt to log in at once.

Yes, because obviously, those that don't want to cling to an empty, shell of an MP game down the road because there's no worthwhile content that had been introduced for months and months are not "true" fans. Not sure if ignorant, or troll.

I'll still play ME3 MP for quite some time, I believe. However, Max Payne 3's release this upcoming month will at least draw me away for some time in that game. Come to think of it, the multiplayer for MP3 is looking pretty damn fine as well, so it's possible I'll be spending a lot of time with that as well.

Unlike many other gamers, I have a wife, a job, kids, and responsibilities. I don't get to play games THAT much. I don't have a decent PC so I won't be getting Diablo, but I can say that, due to my limited play time, it isn't worth it to play stuff that is the same boring thing over and over again. As such, I'll be off of ME3 Multi next week for Prototype 2. After that, I'll probably be stuck on Borderlands 2.

That being said, ME is still my favorite video game series and has always been my go to game for when I'm between newer games. When Prototype 2 gets old, I'll go back to ME while I await Borderlands 2. After Borderlands 2 gets old comes Halo 4, but the Halo games never hold my interest as long as others do so, I'll go back to ME while I await the next big release.

Eh....multiplayer pretty much always undergoes a slow death like that for anything that's not mega-huge. Diablo 3 itself won't actually have much of an effect on ME3 because the fan bases aren't vastly overlapping. I'd actually expect the game worst hit by D3 to be WoW.

Pc users are always in flux over this type of thing.There are a few that stay behind because of nostalgia but the majority Always Abandon the game once the next best thing comes Along. Look at Dark messiah,JKA,Vtmr and the list goes on.
