I really, really enjoy MP....but without any actual gameplay enhancements and not just characters and weapons added...I feel like Diablo 3's imminent release will kill off at least 50-70% of the population.

Anyone else feel the same way? We need more game modes!

As crappy as it is, this game's MP never had much potential. This universe has too few species and classes and aspects to make a multiplayer mode out of, and the system isn't built for PvP.

The sad truth, at least in my opinion, is that this game isn't going to last. The multiplayer has to be really good or really general (see: Halo) to be replayable and soon, everyone will have everything maxed out and will just not want to play any more.

GRFS is looking like it might flop, doubt it will take many people down with it.

If they add new modes, like a mode where you can battle a reaper, also A versus mode, imagine 3 teams of 4 battling it out for supremacy, would be epic

Yeah, I'm certain that there is quite a bit of overlap between Diablo III and Mass Effect 3; however, I could see people alternating between the two without a hitch.

Personally? I would love to go for Diablo III... if it didn't have that stupid online-only requirement. I will only buy the game if it gains an offline mode, which will hopefully include the ability to implement user created mods for "open" style (i.e. non-official) games like Diablo II. Whether this is done... officially or not is of no consequence as long as someone fixes the game.

It's sad that we live in a day and age where people need to potentially pirate games that they bought in order to get the best version.

I played diablo 2 when I was younger, I could care less about diablo 3... Ill stick with Mass Effect. Although I play mostly to socialize with friends.

ME3 will lose me when Halo 4, or Borderlands 2 comes out. Until then I'll stick to Mass Effect, even though it's getting pretty boring, and I'd LOVE some variety. Like different playlists, maps, objectives, factions, characters, weapons (more than just 2 or 3), Armor Customization in MP, longer games, more difficulties, actual MP campaign, actual reward for promoting characters in MP, add another level... class level, N7 Rating, and a new addition... individual character Rank (Pvt, Sgt, etc. etc.), add a create-a-map mode so we can make a map to fight the reaper/geth/cerberus/whatever else, make interactive gameplay so we actually feel like we're contributing to the fight against the reaper. That's just a few ideas

Oh I know what they could do with Promoting N7 players, you should be able to call them in as back up on single player kinda like in Dragon Age when you could call in the Elves, or Golems and such

I already stopped playing MP. There just wasn't enough to keep me playing. There isn't enough variety and I'm sick of unlocking character cards i already have. If I could, I'd give away the N7 weapons I amassed.

Diablo sucks, too much clicking.
Plus in D3 you'll be able to buy gear for real money (hm sound familiar?) so it will simply be a game of
whoever spends the most $$ = wins.

Wrong. You can spend money on player-auctions, nothing coming from that can`t be earned by normaly playing the game. That`s the big difference between f2p-games and Diablo3, might there be future-dlc-like content that you gonna be forced to pay for? Who knows?Who cares?
Besides why should $$ = win be valid within Diablo3 ..any fact to back that up all? Guess no.

If you don`t like "clicking" how the f**** are you playing ME3? Just by power-spamming and not actualy firing your weapons?
Sure Diablo-like-hack`n slay is not for everyone but "clicking" is a strange complaint.

While i honestly don`t care if you like it or not..millions over millions will still play it i just don`t like missinformation.

Won't take until next month... I'm already bored. I was bored before the Resurgence event. Sure, maybe once or twice in the three-hour chunk of time I get to play per week I'll get into a game that's stimulating (which is usually me as the only one alive running around with a Black Widow on Silver or Gold), but most of the time games are insanely repetitive. Other classes spice it up a bit (I prefer Infiltrator most of the time), but once you know the maps the spawns become pretty trivial and only crappy teammates screw things up.

And there are a LOT of crappy teammates.

I don't even play that much anymore because the cycle of Play to get Credits, use Credits to buy Guns, use Guns to Play on Harder Difficulty (as that's pretty much the barrier to Silver/Gold if you have the skill), Play on Harder Difficulty to get MOAR CREDITS... blargh.

Useless treadmilling. I hate it in MMOs, and I hate it here.

ME3's multiplayer will hold a special niche for me because I get to backhand fools across the map as an angry Krogan.

That said, it's true that there really isn't much reason to keep playing if you've already got all common-rare guns to X and all classes unlocked.

It's not going to be D3 that will grab my attention, however. I'm more excited for Legend of Grimrock content than anything Blizzard has to offer me at this point in time. Probably drift back into Battlefield 3 or pick up Tera instead of touch any of Blizzard's offerings with a ten-foot pole.

Borderlands 2 is the game that will completely take my gaming time once it releases in August. But before that, I have a backlog of 4 unplayed games viz. Portal 2, Mafia 2, Red Faction Armageddon and Metro 2033. So once I start those, I will most likely be less frequent here.

I seriously doubt anywhere near that amount of the multiplayer is done on pc, I don't know a single person who does any pc gaming at all so for now I don't think bioware should be all that worried, the series was doing fine when it was Xbox only and it will continue to do so, besides i imagine most casual gamers use a console instead of a pc, it's just easier in general, so 50-70% is an outrageous number

One more thing is that bioware did not have to add multiplayer, because they love their fans they gave us the OPTION to play multiplayer and at the same time are nice enough to give us the weekend events so when get more enjoyment from the OPTIONAL multiplayer, this was their first real attempt at this type of multiplayer so give them a break, they get enough crap because of the ending that nobody can handle, they don't need more for their OPTIONAL multiplayer

As an ancient gamer (dating back all the way to when we played online using these loud and bizarre devices called dial up modems) I can almost guarantee that the servers will not dry up, just as they did not for every other free to play game. Even pay to play games kept their servers running, and people still logging in for years after the game had fallen from majority favor. The population will surely drop with each big release. Bioware will likely continue working on the game as long as it is still making them money, and they will likely keep making money from this title for another 6 months or more.

More about time constraints, lack of giving a **** about getting epic gear to....get more epic gear (90% of the game gone right there), no Worgen Monks (seriously?), general distaste for the WoW community at large, and virtually everyone I know has already quit. MoP is very low on my priority list of games to keep an eye on.

On D3, the beta is unimpressive to me. Doesn't bode well for the finished product in my book. Borderlands 2 will be my game of choice on that front.

Diablo III? Perhaps. The bigger killer will be Max Payne 3, to be honest. It's a massive title from R* which has an extremely fleshed out third person multiplayer aspect which will integrate with GTAV. People who are keen for this type of gameplay (third person multiplayer shooter) will likely find a good home there.

To be completely honest, I'm suprised the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer has lasted as long as it has. Unless Bioware start adding some really meaty content, it's already past it's used-by date.

I've gone back to Minecraft for a while, finding that more fun the ME3 multi for now.
